What an amazing weekend was had by all at the Headcorn Church Flower Festival.
I am very humbled by the amount of wonderful comments I received over my interpretation of Saint Francis of Assisi at the lychgate.

The aim was to attract visitors but also tell the fascinating story of St Francis' journey from his colourful, wealthy younger days to willingly renouncing his rich privileged life to teach peace, humility and care for creation. Saint Francis is best known as the Patron Saint of animals and nature.

With three days of intense red weather warning, an epic thunderstorm, and torrential rain, this display still stood proud, unlike me, who has gained a few more wrinkles!!
No oasis was used in the display adhering to the Sustainable Church Flower Motion.

A huge thank you to all those who supported this event.

There was a lot of care and thought involved in making this elegant tribute for a very special gentleman.
I felt honoured to have been asked to create this for the family.
What makes this design even more personal is that I was invited to handpick the flowers and foliage from his carefully curated garden.
From this sad occasion, a wonderful relationship has blossomed.
