We are delighted to present Converge, a candlelit sound bath at our beautiful 13th-century venue in the heart of Ashford, as part of the Create Music Village Festival.

This one-hour immersive experience invites you into a contemplative exploration of listening through a live, improvised soundscape created with gongs, singing bowls, monochord, voice and electronic loops. Converge is Sound Emergence's exploration of the relationship between sound, contemplation and cultural heritage, creating experiences that respond to the unique atmosphere and acoustics of each place.

A truly stunning live act - Electric Jalaba began their journey exploring the entrancing overlap between electronic dance music and traditional Moroccan gnawa. The band have since found their own hypnotizing, electrifying and truly floor-filling sound, and they continue to explore this healing musical interface both in performance and on record. Their recorded music has become more considered, contemplative, but without losing it's muscular commitment to making you move. Performing live their skills are now well honed, and with lead singer Simo Lagnawi at the helm they know exactly how to draw a crowd in, and uplift them. Now into their forty-sixth year, legendary underground band New Model Army show no sign of slowing down. Their most recent albums, from the ground-breaking Between Dog and Wolf (2013) through to roots-rocker Unbroken (2024), have been their most critically acclaimed and commercially successful for years, while the band’s astonishing live shows continue to thrill audiences across the World.

Meanwhile founder and main songwriter Justin Sullivan continues to do semi-acoustic alternative performances of NMA material, accompanied by Dean White, the band’s guitarist/keyboardist – a format that is more intimate and flexible while losing very little of New Model Army’s famous intensity. The duo have done these shows across the World in every setting possible – from tiny clubs to huge Festival stages, from prisons to palaces.... and now to Revelation Ashford!
