On Thursday, we gathered to say goodbye to Helen’s dad, Cecil Smith- a real gentleman, a legend, and the heart of his family. It was so warming to see over 300 friends and family come together to celebrate Cecil’s life. Beginning at his local church in Longford Village and back to the stunning Osmaston Park for his Wake.
We shared a lovely buffet & carved meat station that truly reflected his roots as a proud farmer. There were his favourite dishes, eggs straight from his own farm, and fresh veggies picked right from his garden. Even Harry, his great-grandson, got involved by happily handing out homemade trifles!
The family were overwhelmed by all the love, stories, and memories shared by everyone who came. It was clear just how much Cecil meant to so many people.
And of course a big thank you to the amazing suppliers who helped along the way!
