🚗✨ What a fantastic day at Ashbourne's very first Classic Car Festival!

The town was filled with an incredible collection of classic, vintage and iconic cars, creating a brilliant atmosphere from start to finish. It was wonderful to see so many people exploring the displays, supporting our independent businesses and enjoying everything Ashbourne has to offer.

A huge thank you to everyone who brought along their amazing vehicles and shared them with visitors. Your passion and enthusiasm made the event truly special.

Thank you as well to everyone who came along to admire the cars and support the festival. We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!

Finally, a huge thank you to Ashbourne Car Enthusiast Club, our volunteers, sponsors and everyone involved in organising the event. Your hard work, dedication and support made this inaugural festival such a memorable success.

🚗 A glimpse of automotive history is coming to Ashbourne

The countdown is on for Ashbourne's first Classic Car Festival, taking place on Sunday 2nd August – and we've got something very special lined up.

Among the fantastic display will be not one, but two rare Gilbern GTs – the only full-production cars ever built in Wales. Crafted between 1959 and 1966 by a Welsh butcher and a German engineer (and former POW), these unique cars have a fascinating story to tell.

One of the Gilberns has remained with its owner for more than 40 years and has even appeared three times at the NEC Classic Motor Show.

And that's just the beginning... Expect a wonderful collection of classic, vintage, interesting and exotic vehicles, alongside Ashbourne's fantastic independent shops, cafés and pubs.

🚘✨ Over 90 years in the same family... and still on the road today!

These incredible photographs capture a very special piece of motoring history, from a winter drive to a grandmother behind the wheel loading the car onto a ferry to France in 1934.

Bentley dominated the world of motor racing in the 1920s, winning Le Mans five times, and this 1928 4.5 litre Bentley is a remarkable example of the era.

Unrestored, completely original and in the same family for over 90 years, the car was even raced in the Monte Carlo Rally in the 1930s by the current owner's grandfather. Today, it is still regularly driven to ACE meetings.

This summer, you'll have the chance to see it for yourself at the Ashbourne Classic Car Festival 🚗

Something exciting is coming to Ashbourne... ✨🚗

Join us for the very first Ashbourne Classic Car Festival! A brand new event celebrating classic motoring, with an incredible display of vintage vehicles, cherished classics and iconic cars throughout the town.

Whether you're a dedicated car enthusiast or simply looking for a great family day out, there's plenty to enjoy, alongside Ashbourne's wonderful independent shops, cafés and pubs.
