BANK HOLIDAY MEANS RACING AT HEDNESFORD HILLS!

📆 Monday 25th May
⏰1pm first race

There's nowhere better to spend your Bank Holiday than trackside at Staffordshire's Hednesford Hills Raceway, with a fantastic mix of high-speed action and automotive chaos to keep the whole family entertained...

🏁 National Hot Rods
The pinnacle of the UK ovals, these specialised, purpose-built and highly tuned cars are a true spectacle: the speeds these cars can achieve in such a confined space has to be seen to be believed. Different drivers compete in different cars - with Mazda, Lotus, Ford, Vauxhall and Ginettas the current top chassis, circulating just millimetres apart at full tilt with no room for error - there are no track limits here: get it wrong and drivers are in the safety fence!

🏁 Bangers - 'Back To Basics' - including Figure of 8 race
Back to Basic Bangers have rocketed in popularity over the past few years, with drivers enjoying the deliberately simple build rules and fun spirit - expect plenty of skidding, slipping and sliding on the way as these MOT failures get one last shot at glory!

🏁 Oval Track Legends
Lightweight, high-powered, pocked rockets! Originally imported from the USA in the 1990s, Oval Track Legends are based on vintage American hot rod body shapes, and powered by 1200/1250cc Superbike engines. These little cars demand plenty of driving skill; with the howl of their high-revving engines a sound never to be forgotten once you hear it.

🏁 Scrapco Ninja Karts
This may be these kids' first years on track, but that doesn't mean they hold back with breathtaking wheel-to-wheel racing in this formula which race across different venues. The Scrapco-sponsored Ninja Karts are for the 6-10 (until 11th birthday) year olds who want to race. Strictly non-contact, these kart-based chassis' are powered by a Honda engine. Complete with a roll cage and racing aerofoil, these are great fun for the youngest racers on the ovals.

In a time where there are plenty of positives in our sport, it is frustrating to have to deal with vandalism at Hednesford Hills Raceway.

As a company, we continuously invest a huge amount in stadiums - and for the last two events the toilet block alongside the West Bend stand at the Raceway has been blocked and toilets broken.

If anyone has any information on how this happened please message us, or call Head Office on 01252 322 920 (9am-5pm)

We’re covering all bases in Sunday’s session at Hednesford Hills with a Hot Rod, Banger and Stock Car programme of racing in store!

Contact racing comes from the Back to Basic Bangers race for the Man of the Midlands Qualifying Points in this popular series for 2026 - as well as the V8 Hotstox in another bumper-clanging, loud and proud event.

Non-contact action - at the home of Hot Rod racing - comes from the stars of the future with the 11-16 year olds in the 1 Litre Hot Rods as well as the budget racers in the Rookie Rods.
