Lovely little starter ( or side dish). Salt baked beetroot with heritage carrots, toasted hazelnut, candied blood orange with whipped feta, dressed with a zingy pomegranate and date dressing and lots of mint. Would be delish with roast lamb! Very moreish!!

Autumn on a plate, using lots of lovely suppliers. Chicken from Callaghans in Helensburgh, and veggies from France farm.

As the nights draw in, this feels like the perfect food. I love making risotto it’s a slow and mindful process and feels like a hug on a plate. What I crave always changes with the seasons.

To make it extra special add some chicken bone broth, not only will it taste amazing but it’s full off collagen and minerals. Most butchers will give you chicken bones, roast them off till brown. Then pop them in a pot cover in cold water, add apple cider vinegar ( 1 tbsp), some carrot, celery and onion. Simmer overnight ( or pop in slow cooker). Your body will thank you, aswell as your taste buds.

Butternut risotto, with braised cavalo Nero, roast onion squash, Roast chicken and parsley and walnut pesto.
