Lagg-ing no imagination - a new way to see whisky 🥃

A highlight for us last year was working on new flagship campaign which has just launched! Such a cool brief by as always. We were in our absolute element capturing unusual angles around the distillery and Arran.

Did it rain 50% of the time? Did the classic Cosmo cocktail make a come back? Did find a potential new career path? Yes to all of the above.

We had the best team with us too:

a living legend who co-edited the film, constructed the animation & took photos. Is there anything he can’t do

Revisiting Life in Every Drop 💧

One of our first ever Jura Whisky projects is still going strong in Asia where the 12-Year-Old Sherry Cask is a regional exclusive. We’ve put together a directors cut of some of the footage 🎬

We worked with the brains behind the project in summer 2020 meaning we did everything remotely. This included coordinating with the talented whose photo shoot took place in a completely different location.

5 years on it’s been fun revisiting footage from a whisky shoot that’s still one of our favourites to this day.

Swipe for content born to be wild 🐾

We loved working with on a promo film for their new rewilding centre and forest. There was a lot to capture as it has it all going on! Spot the wild animals (& humans; yes Jess does feature in this video… 👀)!

After discovering it’s already OCTOBER 😅 we took a look back at 2024 so far and boy oh boy have we had some groovy times. We officially became Studio Mustard, got to work with excellent human beings on some stellar projects, and had a daft laugh exploring our beloved West coast 🤘

Leafing a lasting impression 🍃

Glenmore Forest Park is one of our favourite places to visit so you can imagine the delight on our faces when we were asked to help produce their new interpretation video for Forestry and Land Scotland 😆

Accessed via QR codes on site, the short informative video contains key messages to help visitors have a more positive impact.

An usual perspex-tive with Fettercairn…

Some snippets from a shoot earlier this year for Fettercairn whisky 🥃 This was our first time working with Susan Castillo and it was an absolute pleasure - her work is stunning and her studio cat won our hearts (sorry Mustard). Not our first time working with Ben from Studio LR - he was on hand to expertly drop things from a height and crack the jokes as always!

Reintroducing...

Kieran! 😆 The OG half of Studio Mustard, director and a cheery, cheeky chappie.

Kieran has many strings to his bow and a keen eye for detail. He is an editor extraordinaire and makes magic happen for our clients (although he claims his childhood spent at the Magic Circle does not in fact aid his Final Cut wizardry today...)

Outside of work he prefers to be on the water; dolphin watching on his boat with a beer 👌 He's also in the process of becoming an RNLI lifeboat crew member (we're very proud of him at Mustard HQ!)

We need to say a huuuuge thank you to for all of her design work on our rebrand and for helping us to fully embrace all things Mustard. From super close up shots of actual mustard to big old splats featuring across our branding, she’s truly added a kick to our content.
