I am very excited to tell you that I have an exhibition coming up very soon of my papier-mâché houses and shadow boxes.
It is held in the Oriel Gallery in Antrim Castle Gardens from 18 November until Christmas. Entrance is free and there is a coffee shop nearby. The castle grounds are lovely for a walk and in December they have a Christmas light display from dusk ( this needs to be booked.)
My theme is ‘Writer’s Houses Real and Imagined.’ Books have always been important in my life and they inspire me greatly. I love the way they have the ability to take over your imagination and transport you to another time and place.
I do hope you will call in and look at my houses and sign my visitors book. It is a scary thing to put yourself out there and be seen but having support spurs me on to do more.

My piece for the Tutors Exhibition at Crescent Arts Centre Belfast. It was inspired by the Artist Dressen McQueen and is about the futility of war. It is painted and embroidered on linen. It is available to view now in the coffee shop.

Folk Art Embroidery Dove of Peace class begins on Thursday evening at the Crescent Art Centre. This piece was inspired by the Ukranian Folk Artist, Maria Prymachenko. You will be guided through all the stitches so don’t worry if you have never embroidered before. All materials will be included in the price but please bring some small scissors to class.
