It was great to see many of our usual suspects line up for the annual Hazelbank Christmas Run. It’s like a reunion of old friends with a love a running, dressing up and Christmas spirit in common.
That Christmas spirit for one or two bleary eyed runners, might have been more in relation to the partying they’d just finished a few hours before the race! You know who you are 😉
It was also great to see some new runners join us in our festivities, we hope you enjoyed the event.
Initial worries about low temperatures and potential ice, were soon alleviated. The prettiest sunrise even made us wee route organisers stop for a second and appreciate that this beauty spot is right on our doorstep.
Full results were posted in the FB event yesterday. Photos have now been uploaded, check out our albums.

1 Mile Run
Again, for the fun run it was many of the usual faces. Some of these kids have been doing our events for years and it is endearing to see them growing up.
First Boy across the line in the 1 Mile run, was Sean O’Neil
Second boy was Reuben Ferris
And Ryan O’Neil took third.
For the girls, Sinead O’Hare lead the way and came home first, still smiling.
Newcomer Maya Gordon took second place.
Third for the girls this year was Jessie Smith.
Well done to all of you!
It was great to see all your smiling faces and Christmas attire.
Big thank you to the course marshals for all their help.
Have a great Christmas and keep on running.
