🔸Celebrating the New Mayor:
The pinnacle of Mayor Making was the appointment of the new Mayor of Test Valley, Cllr Phil Lashbrook, and his Mayoress, Cllr Linda Lashbrook. Witnessing their inauguration was a wonderful moment for everyone present. The new mayor's dedication and commitment to serving the community were evident, and I felt privileged to be a part of this and wish them the best for their year.

🔹Family Connections:
Adding to the joyous occasion, my mother Karen Hamilton had the honour of becoming the deputy mayoress, alongside Deputy Mayor Gordon Bailey. Seeing my mother take on this important role filled me with a deep sense of pride and admiration.

🔸Committee Appointment:
One of the highlights of the event was the official announcement of committee appointments. I am thrilled to be joining the Overview and Scrutiny and General Purposes Committee.

🔹Delightful Surprise:
Amidst the excitement of the event, there was one delightful surprise that stood out – the caterers for the day were the renowned Andover Buffets. Jane and Ash had outdone themselves once again. The spread they had prepared was nothing short of divine, that perfectly complemented the celebratory atmosphere.

🔸Conclusion:
The event left me with a deep sense of pride and a continued commitment to serve my community with dedication and integrity.
