It’s always great when as a DJ you see a full dance floor. Saturday night was an amazing evening and it’s not often I post my set list from the evening up but this was one of those nights when I thought why not!
I started the evening with some hot remixes of 70s and 80s house and Nu disco tracks to set the scene before Singer Jake Ward took to the stage.
But how do you keep the vibe going? Well I just looked around the room and felt it needed something special so below is the tracks I played until 1am.

And that’s a wrap for the weekend. Two awesome parties and two Weekend Breakfast shows done.
Time to chill!
What a big couple of days and some people think DJing is easy! Friday lunchtime I set off to set up for the Friday night event, 2 hour set up and then back for 5pm to play until 11pm, pack down and home just after midnight and then Saturday lunchtime it was another early set up with another 2 hour set up with disco and Photobooth, back at 5.30pm to start at 6pm and then play until 1am, one hour pack down and home around 2am.
It’s a good job I love what I do.
A big thank you to Elsa for booking my DJ services for her birthday party and to Jake Ward performed in his usual fun style with some classic singing performances.
What a great two nights and packing the Dancefloors is what we love to do.

After a wonderful evening in a field in Wiltshire last night it’s in a garden this evening for a big birthday celebration.

We have also DJ’d more outside events than ever before and with the summer continuing to provide the hot summer days and nights we have added something to our Gazebo.
The new banner will add a bit of cover and do a little bit of advertising too.

Last week I was having a conversation with an ex DJ Nick who has now come on board with our Vinyl Sessions after a long break and I was explaining how my life like many others changed after Lockdown.
It’s been just over 4 years and it gave me a new lease of life. Not only did it introduce me to presenting radio shows but I discovered much more music and also realised that I needed to put the F back into Fun.
Pre lockdown I was a Full time DJ and my focus was on earning enough money to be able to earn a living. However during that time when entertainment was shut I went back to the trade I knew and now DJ part time with the aim of just having fun and enjoying it.
I dropped my fees because it wasn’t about the money and with the Vinyl Sessions we offer very good deals to pubs who want to book our services on a Sunday or midweek.

Having a job you love makes all the difference to your life and music is one passion I will never give up.

What’s on this weekend then?
Friday lunchtime I’ll be setting up for the Aspire Defence summer party.
After a two year break I’m back on it again.
In 2023 I had an awesome time but with a trip to Australia in 2024 I couldn’t provide my entertainment services. However, after missing out for the past couple of years I’ll be back on it.
Then on Saturday it’s party time as I head to a private house in Hampshire to DJ a 60th birthday celebration.
The weather forecast doesn’t show signs of any rain so looking forward to another top weekend of entertaining the party goers.
