Appleshaw and Redenham Craft Club cafe wish everyone a very happy Christmas. The Club raised £248.98 ( £583.98 in total this year ) for The Countess of Brecknock Hospice , thank you to everyone who supported the club in 2023.

Well, that is an Appleshaw Scarecrow Trail wrap for 2022 - we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did ?!

For those of you who weren’t at the final of the scarecrow trail competition yesterday, please find attached a list of the winners and runners-up.

Katie Parnham and family won the prize for the most correctly guessed scarecrow, for the Minions, so well done to you!

Stuart and Anna, with SpongeBob Square pants, you were runaway winners for the funniest scarecrow and also took the prize for the best dressed so well done to you alsoYour prizes are behind the bar at the Walnut tree pub so feel free to pop in and collect them at any time. We hope you enjoy them.

Finally, a huge thank you to everyone who took part in what was our first attempt at a scarecrow trail so very much a learning curve but we all thoroughly enjoyed it and we hope you did too!

Roll on next year – we might do it at a slightly warmer time of year as well!

How has your half-term been?
It has certainly been busy here in Appleshaw with the Scarecrow Trail and it has been good to see so many of you wandering around the village taking photos and casting your votes.

Just a reminder today is our final day and we have our last reading, which is “The Worst Witch” by Jill Murphy, at 3.30, with prize-giving taking place at 4 PM.

Come and see some of the fabulous scarecrows who will be joining our listeners today.

There will also be free hot chocolate and hot dogs – so come along and join the fun as we are looking forward to seeing you all.

We’ve had loads of votes!
