🌿 One more week until the summer holidays… 🌿

If you’re looking for a chance to slow down, get outdoors and let your little ones enjoy the magic of childhood, we’d love to welcome you to Emberkind’s Summer Sessions.

Across four Forest School sessions, we’ll be making giant bubbles, creating bows and arrows, cooking over the campfire, taking on woodland quests and, most importantly, giving children the time and freedom to explore, imagine and play.

I’ve added an extra 30 minutes to each session this summer, so there’s even more time to settle in, build friendships and enjoy being together in the woods without feeling rushed.

Sometimes the best summer memories aren’t made with screens, queues or expensive days out…

Side by Side Parent-Child Woodland Sessions

A gentle, play-based woodland experience for one child and their parent(s).

Through play, exploration, storytelling, fire cooking and nature connection, parents are given the opportunity to slow down and see their child in a different light. Alongside the session, I offer observations, reflections and practical ideas to help strengthen connection and understand behaviour more deeply.

Includes a follow-up parent support call three weeks later.

Ideal for families wanting to better understand their child, strengthen relationships, reset their parenting, or simply enjoy dedicated time together in nature.

Our Summer Term Forest School begins Friday 12th June and I’ve still got a few spaces left if anyone would like to join us.

It’s a six week term running Fridays through June and July, out in the woods at Llanelli & Mynydd Mawr Railway.

This term we’ve got some lovely stories including The Scarecrows’ Wedding, normal the snail with the silly shell and we’ll finish with a Teddy Bears’ Picnic in the woods 🧺🌿with a big focus on space for children to play, explore, get muddy and be outside together.

Side By Side sessions offer families a space to slow down, play, and reconnect together.

When family life feels busy, tense or emotionally full, children often need more than reminders, routines or another rushed conversation. They need time alongside the people they feel safest with.

Side by Side is a private woodland connection session for primary school children aged 5–11 and their parent/carer.

Each session is shaped around your child whether that’s den building, imaginative play, treasure hunts, campfire cooking, nature crafts or simply exploring the woods together.

The aim isn’t perfect behaviour, It’s creating moments of connection, safety, co-regulation and enjoyment that help family life feel calmer and closer again.

These sessions give parents and carer’s space to:
• better understand their child through play
• notice what may sit underneath big feelings or challenging moments
• strengthen connection in a low pressure environment
• gather practical, realistic ideas to use at home

Families leave with simple, playful tools that can fit into everyday life, especially around school stress, overwhelm, transitions, anxiety and emotional regulation.

THE INTRODUCTORY PACKAGE — £105

Discovery Call (30–45 mins)
A chance to talk through your child’s interests, needs and family life so the session can be tailored to you.

Woodland Connection Session (2 hours)
A private, nature based session filled with play, shared experiences, fireside connection and a personalised home plan with simple, playful ways to continue building connection,
co-regulation and quality time together beyond the woods.

Follow-Up Online Meet (50 mins)
A chance to reflect on how things have been going at home since the session, explore any barriers or challenges that have come up, and look at practical ways to continue building connection, co-regulation and playful moments within everyday family life.

🫧Giant Bubble Session 🫧

We’re heading into the woods this half term for one of my favourite sessions to run. Some rope work and knotting… and then suddenly these ridiculous, enormous bubbles drifting through the trees making everyone smile.

A date for your diary this half term ( like you need any more) but if you want to surrounded by fresh air, friendly people and some very large bubbles this one’s for you. 🫧

Aimed at 1–11 years, though teens tend to get properly as well so are more than welcome to book on.

Watching your little ones explore the wonders of the woods with Emberkind Forest is a memory you’ll cherish forever 🌿

Emberkind is starting a new Spring term and we’d love you to join us.

These Friday morning gatherings are a space for children to explore nature at their own pace climbing, creating, cooking on the fire, listening to stories, and following their curiosity through the woodland.

Facilitated by a trained Forest School Leader and qualified Counsellor with a trauma informed approach. Emberkind offers a supportive outdoor space where children can build confidence, connection and a sense of belonging in nature.

This term we’ll be exploring The Bog Baby, celebrating May Day, and watching the magic of The Very Hungry Caterpillar unfold as the forest changes around us.

Fridays • 10am–12pm
Cynheidre, Llanelli

We have just 3 spaces remaining for 0-6 year olds and their l grown-ups to join our Friday morning sessions. Think woodland play, muddy toes, and space for curiosity to bloom. 🌿
