As the season progresses the colours of our dahlias begin to change, often becoming less intense. The flower size can become smaller as the plants, having worked their socks off since July, begin to slow down and say they’ve had enough for this season. Now is the time we begin to dig them up and prep them for winter storage, ensuring they are sufficiently dry not to succumb to mold over the winter months. And then it will be time to start them off, take cuttings, grow them on and plant them out for another season of gorgeous flowers! www.medsteadflowershack.com
