What a fabulous day and I had at . An old priory until Henry VIII cast his spell! Most of it demolished but this huge wing still exists. The grounds are spectacular and an inspiration for my rose arch at home.

The most spectacular was the natural spring which effortlessly pushes water through the estate.
Thoroughly loved it.

Super day out at absolutely glorious weather.

We then stopped by beautiful hand made pieces, literally spoilt for choice but ended up walking away with matching welded bracelets 💕

A little video of us re-baling. Laborious work but worth it.

So yesterday was a sad day indeed.

We said good bye to our sweet, affectionate and funny lad Garfield.

Garfield joined us from the and they didn’t know much about him but they said he disliked humans and would love a farm life. So that’s what we gave him however when he followed me home one day he never returned to the farm but made our home his.

I feel bereft today without him lying next to me in the office. I’ll look forward to seeing him on the other side for more kisses. 😘
RIP Garfield ?-2026

After watching last week I was joyed to see such enthusiasm from for our song birds that live amongst us.

In this video you can see a field that we used to harvest and after sowing lots of wild seeds, we’ve left it to do what nature does so well.

The field is alive with butterflies, bees, so many birds (thank you Merlin ID) and insects.

I always leave water out this time of year for the badgers, foxes and deer that live here too.

A little peace of heaven and space for the birds knowing it will never be destroyed.

helping with baling yesterday. It’s nice to have help from the children.

We had a cracking day yesterday nice yield in the fields so the barns are starting to look healthy again.

Bringing in the wrapped haylage from our farm in Hampshire. This may look like a lot but we’ve still got a long way to go but we are loving the new

All the men were out making hay today so Edie and I went on some hay deliveries. Lots of fun
