Whilst I'm on a roll, I'd like to be at the front of your mind for Christmas (sorry 🙈..not sorry) as this is a key time for many small businesses where we make enough money to see us through the lean times of the year. We are not 'just being greedy' or 'cashing in' on the spending frenzy - we really do rely on making that extra bit of money to either get us out of the overdraft from BUYING all the extra stock, or to see us through January when nobody is spending anything.

My luxury door wreaths and holly & spruce cemetery wreaths are locally handmade with the best fresh foliages, and I decorate each one by hand. I have fresh stock at least twice a week, which has been looked after properly and not left to dry to a crisp on a shelf outside a supermarket!
I can decorate to your specification, and they range from £10 for a cemetery wreath with pine cones to £50 for a large mixed foliage door wreath with baubles, decorations, and a large fabric bow.
I also make lots of bouquets, baskets, and chocolate arrangements for xmas gifts, I have an extensive memorial range, and make fresh and artificial flower memorial arrangements too.
Local delivery is available up to Christmas Eve (I have a little helper nearer to xmas), and the market has extended opening hours nearer to Christmas too.
I also run wreath making workshops locally at the end of November/beginning of December, which I will be posting about soon as these book up really quickly.

Carrying on my positive weekend posts, here are a selection of beautiful memorial and funeral flowers that I’ve had the pleasure to make over the last few months.
It may sound weird, but this is my favourite kind of work to do, especially when it’s something challenging or unusual that I’ve not done before.
From being widowed at a young age (32) I feel I have the empathy and understanding to help my customers at this sad time. I also have a wealth of experience from my 20+ years in the industry following my college training.
So if you want a caring, understanding, knowledgeable and experienced person to guide you through choosing the most fitting tribute to your loved one, I’m your gal!

Let’s have a positive post after yesterday (thank for all the lovely comments btw)
Here are some gorgeous floral arrangements given as gifts by my awesome customers over the last couple of months.
Times may be tight, and prices might have increased a little (as they have everywhere) but there are still lots of people who appreciate the sentiment and beauty of giving flowers 🙏🏼 thank you

Please understand how upsetting it is when you stand outside my shop telling your friend not to buy from me because ‘it’s cheaper online’ (yes, I can hear you, neither the glass windows or the open door are soundproof!!) or ‘it’s cheaper in Te*co’
Of course it is! I don’t have the buying power of a multi billion global supermarket chain, and I have business overheads to pay unlike online sellers.

In the same breath, you can’t then say “the market isn’t like it used to be” when you won’t spend a few extra pence to support a local independent business.

Use us or lose us! It’s never been more important to shop small - your high street belongs to you and it’s in your hands (and purses) as to whether the town thrives or just about survives.

I’ve bit the bullet and ordered loads of the memorial sticks. I think I have almost all close relations covered now (all that were available anyway) and have a few ‘someone special’ designs for those they don’t do.
Still at just £5 each!! 🥳
Most I have 6 of, a few I have 12, but it still might not take long for them to go as they’re really popular.
Designed to go outside, these are ideal for graveside or in a plant pot at home.
I’m here every market day (T/T/F/S) from 8-4, cash or card accepted
