All Dressed Up Loch Lomonds Original and Premier Wedding and Events Company Est 2008

If you are getting married at Loch Lomond, why would you choose a company who don't know the local area? We have dressed every venue up and down the shores of Loch Lomond and have created stunning rooms with our beautiful linens.

So here’s where as a business you need to read reviews.

Jean asks me tonight about a price of a particular item so I look to see if it’s logged on our website. Typing into Google our business name I came across our reviews page and seen I had a two star review from 2024. So I did a bit of digging.

Having not seen it I’ve not responded - but wish I had. Everyone’s entitled to their opinion but for me, I’m struggling to see where I’ve accused “thieves” being invited to a wedding.

When we set out our contracts, we do list the replacement value cost of each item should it get damaged or go missing right at the very start because the hirer is responsible for the goods when at the venue.

Things do go missing - it happens and we understand this. Wee Nana’s take away centrepieces thinking that it’s the couples. We’ve had large vases swapped out for drinking vessels. But I try to handle this as best as possible asking if the couple can check or ask around in case they find it to avoid charging for the goods - I have never accused of anyone of stealing anything.

Anyway see what you think x

Loads of personal touches to decorate the venue brought by Lee-Anne and Barry.

As usual our lights, ceiling drapes and Champagne Cart added in to complement the decor.

Something I forgot to add to last nights post. Before anyone starts to panic, I’ve still got lots of lovely weddings to dress before I actually retire!

I plan on hanging up my sash rail next March - just in case any of our 2026 / early 2027 couples start to panic!

Although I do intend to be suitably tanned when I’m next climbing a ladder 😍

On a separate note I’d just like to say a huge thank you to my wee side kick Jean McTaggart who last night looked exhausted after the 12 hour shift we put in. Thank you for your words of “nearly there” every hour🤣🤣

Marie-Claire Lindsay who probably doesn’t have a spine this evening after all the carrying. And her skip / charity shop runs too. You are a star ⭐

Honestly could not have done it without you both these last few months.

Rachel Sharkey - thank you also for your help and I bet you don’t want to look at another cardboard box EVER! Imagine meeting me for the first time and you get thrown in at the deep end.

Harry and Richard too - even with the some terse words being thrown about now and again ha ha. I needed muscles for lifting the heavy things. 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻

Our landline will stop working in two weeks but we do have a mobile that I’ll list on here. Emails are still working as normal so we can still be reached.

The unit is just down next to Antartex, beside the 4x4 Jeep safari company. As before we’ll be in and out all the time so let me get organised and we will see you there. 🩷

So the absolute end of an era tonight 😢

We turned the key in the door for the last time and have moved out of our shop. This wasn’t an easy decision but one that I thought long and hard about since losing my Mum last year. My landlord has been amazing at supporting me so I just wanted to thank her for all the years of allowing me to stay in 1 Glenview Place.

The process started in January this year and between the jigs and the reels (quoting Mrs Denise Murphy) have been thinning out / clearing out since then. It’s been soul destroying - not going to lie. But eventually - we are all sorted.

The unit on the other hand…….well let’s just say it’s packed full so no more buying for me. Once my holiday is out of the way I’ll be holding some sale days - come down to visit us and grab a bargain. I found some lovely bits and pieces (some stuff I never even knew existed).

I will officially retire the business in March 2027. Again I’m being transparent with everyone as I have had so may enquiries for their wedding day, but have just had to say no, we won’t be about.

With all of this in mind, there is a full on solid business going to be going up for sale which serves the Loch Lomond area. Our motto is and always was ”Loch Lomond’s Premier Wedding and Events business” - Premier being that we were the first of our kind when we launched in 2007, the year before I got married. We saw off tonnes of Glasgow and Lanarkshire venue dressing businesses to provide ALL the major venues each side of the Loch with decor, some venues are no longer with us.

So does 2027 hold a new chapter for you? Do you see yourself as a budding venue decorator? If so and would be keen to discuss then please DM me and we can chat.

But first a wee cheeky holiday awaits! 🩷

👋🏻👋🏻Hi everyone 👋🏻👋🏻

Can I ask a favour please? Long email incoming.

We are literally in the last few weeks before we move from our shop into the unit. It’s been mental!

Weddings are starting back this weekend with a bang which will throw us right back into reality which we can’t wait for.

We are getting sent through enquiries asking if we can do last minute jobs for this year for the venues that we work in. I’m doing my very best to keep on top of things - to answer everyone in between everything else. But nobody is replying back 🫠🫠

If you see this post and have asked us to quote for work - can you please check your inbox / messenger / Instagram account and let us know if you are wanting to go ahead or not?

With everything going on just now I truly need to give two weeks to consider our suggestion as I then will remove it from the diary as at present the dates and times are booked in and are set for us all so we can incorporate home life around work.

If I get asked “can you do X, Y, Z” which hadn’t been factored in I then have to ask the girls if they’ve got anything on in order to see if it’s do-able, to then email back to the enquirer to say we can and ask for more information - to then hear back nothing…..👻👻👻👻👻

If it’s a no after working all this out then thats cool - I’m a big girl and can take rejection with no hassle or fuss. But I’d just love to know early on as it just saves me from having to send a chase email to ask if you got the first email to then send a second email to ask what your thoughts are, by which time the girls may have changed their plans.

On another note…..lots of items will be listed for sale soon with dates to be announced also. Keep watching back x

Happy Sunday everyone! 👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻

Bit of a random post but just wanted to make it official and share with you all that we will be moving out of the shop by the end of March and into a unit based in Alexandria.

All couples were called yesterday to arrange their second face to face appointments before we move out with emails also sent to everyone. It’s still business as usual for ADU with lots of lovely weddings still to take place.

Tomorrow my business turns 19! So a brand new chapter awaits for us in 2026. We’ll get into the space and make some adjustments so that we can then welcome any face to face appointments there, so please bear with us whilst we make this transition. We’ll utilise Zoom as best as we can if a face to face can’t be done.

I’ll be very sad leaving Glenview Place as it holds lots of lovely memories, and I’m sure my Mum will be watching over us, happy that I’m making this change.

Please can you pass onto anyone who is getting married that we’ll have some Sale Days taking place as it’s easier to thin out before the move so lots of bargains can be had. Keep checking back for dates!

And also can you please all share too ❤️
