Transport for London has confirmed the following. We've read it so you don't have to. 👇

🔴 Circle line — entire line
🔵 Piccadilly line — entire line
🟣 Metropolitan line — Baker Street to Aldgate
🔴 Central line — White City to Liverpool Street

⚠️ Disruption across all other Tube lines:
No trains before 06:30 on either day.
Aim to finish your journey before 21:00.

🛫 TRAVELLING TO HEATHROW ON TUESDAY OR THURSDAY?
The Piccadilly line is your normal direct rail link into Heathrow Terminals 2, 3, 4 and 5.
It will not be running on either strike day.
The Elizabeth line covers Heathrow T2/3 and T4 — it will be running, but it will be very busy. Plan for longer journey times and more crowded trains than normal.

✈️ GATWICK, FARNBOROUGH OR ELSEWHERE?
Gatwick Express, Southern and Thameslink all run on National Rail — they are not affected by the Tube strike. But stations and roads feeding into those services across London will be busier than usual. Allow extra time.
For Farnborough EGLF private aviation — ground transport is your most reliable option. No rail disruption risk, no connection stress.

Lines expected to have NO service:
❌ Circle line
❌ Piccadilly line (yes — this is the one to/from Heathrow ✈️)
❌ Metropolitan line (Baker Street ↔ Aldgate)
❌ Central line (White City ↔ Liverpool Street)

Other Tube lines should run, but expect:
⚠️ Late starts & early finishes
⚠️ Very limited service before 06:30
⚠️ Journeys should be completed before 21:00

🚌 East London Bus Strikes (Stagecoach – Bow Garage)

Most will face severe delays or cancellations.
🚆 The Elizabeth line, DLR, London Overground, buses and trams will run as normal — but expect them to be packed.

✈️ Flying out of Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted, Luton or London City?

This is the bit that catches people out. With the Piccadilly line down on 2 & 4 June, the usual Tube route to Heathrow disappears, and the Elizabeth line / Overground will be heaving with redirected commuters. If you have a flight, build in at least 60–90 minutes extra, or pre-book a door-to-door transfer the night before so you're not gambling on a packed platform at 5am.
