🟢 OSWALDTWISTLE CARNIVAL 2026 🟢
Well the carnival has now drawn to a close! What a fantastic day it's been, the sun was out as were all of you! Thank you to everyone who supported us today and supported all the businesses and charities who attended as well.
👉 Today we covered over 250,000km between all the volunteers!
👉 Half a ton of rubbish
👉 2000 photos
👉 an ungodly amount of sunscreen
👉 thousands raised for local charities and organisations
👉 thousands put back into the Hyndburn economy
👉 Free crafts provided by GK Crafts, who was funded by Groundwork, grassroot grants
And... a VERY tired volunteer group who have all worked tirelessly to make this event as great as it could be and bring it back from the brink of collapse.

P.s we have heard some rubbings regarding the procession, we agree it's not what we wanted it to be, but the facts are that we simply don't get the interest from businesses and groups in having floats any more, the costs are to expensive, we don't have the factories or haulage companies we used to and health and safety is a MASSIVE contributing factor. The same goes for schools and local groups who simply don't have the volunteers to walk in a procession.
