🎉🎊 Happy Birthday to us! 🎊🎉
16 years ago today, a little dream became a reality.
We opened the doors to our very first classes at The Civic Arts Centre in Oswaldtwistle — just one evening a week, with classes in Drama and Musical Theatre.
We were a tiny little school back then, but what we lacked in size, we certainly made up for in enthusiasm, passion, big dreams and a determination to inspire the next generation of performers.
And somehow, that one little evening of classes grew into something far more wonderful than we could ever have imagined.
Today, we have :
• Two branches with full timetables of classes.
• ReAct Productions our dedicated production company creating incredible youth and adult musicals and play, immersive events and community opportunities.
• Our very own venue, ReAct Studios, where we deliver our Hyndburn classes, shows, events and community projects.
• An incredible team of talented, passionate people teaching Drama, Musical Theatre, Dance and Music.
• And, of course, even our very own little café!
But more than all of that, we have built a community. A place where people can find confidence, friendship, creativity, belonging and a space to be themselves.
And we honestly, truly LOVE what we do. So, so much 💜
Sixteen years is a huge milestone, and we couldn't celebrate it without saying the biggest THANK YOU to every single person who has been part of our story.
To those who were there at the very beginning.
To those who joined us somewhere along the way.
To those who have found us more recently.
And to the very special few who have been with us for almost the whole journey… thank you.
Thank you for trusting us, believing in us, supporting us, cheering us on and, most importantly, for sharing our dream.
Every student who has walked through our doors, every parent who has supported them, every member of our team, every performer, audience member, volunteer, friend and supporter has helped make this what it is today.
You are all part of our story.
What started 16 years ago as one little evening of classes has become something we are incredibly proud of - and we couldn't have done it without you.
So today, we celebrate 16 years of creativity, friendship, laughter, music, theatre, memories, milestones and magic.
Here's to everything we've achieved, everyone we've met, every memory we've made… and to whatever comes next.
