World Horse Welfare Belwade Farm

Belwade Farm is one of World Horse Welfare's four UK Rescue and Rehoming Centres. Belwade Farm is home to around 65 horses in need at any one time.

Set in the stunning countryside of Royal Deeside, Belwade is a great place to discover the charity's work first hand and spend a day with the family. Here they can undergo rehabilitation before finding loving new homes through World Horse Welfare's rehoming scheme. Why not come and meet them and find out more about the work we do to help the horses of today and tomorrow? The farm is open Wednesday

s, Saturdays and Sundays, from 11am to 4pm, and admission is £3 per person (under 5's go free). Admission includes a meet the ponies session in Hamish's Shed at 1pm (subject to staff availability). Our wonderful Highlands Bistro is open Wed-Sun, 11am - 4pm and serves lunch from 11:30am - 3pm. Our entire farm is dog friendly, so the whole family can enjoy a lovely day out! Meet Peanut and Popcorn 💙

Peanut and Popcorn were born at World Horse Welfare Belwade Farm after their heavily pregnant mothers were rescued.

Born just 10 weeks apart, the pair quickly became inseparable and were looking for a home together. Last Christmas, they found the perfect match with Carol and her two older donkeys, Duffy and Henrietta.

"Peanut and Popcorn have fitted right in and they're such characters," says Carol. "They're so much fun, really good-natured and they make everybody smile."

By rehoming Peanut and Popcorn, Carol has given them the loving home they deserve, while helping create space for more vulnerable horses and donkeys to receive the care they need.

Last Few Tickets Remaining

We only have a few tickets left at our introduction to Groundwork workshop on Wednesday 24th June at 12:00pm.

You will learn basic groundwork skills including lunging and how to long rein. There will be the chance to have a go at this demo so make sure you bring a riding hat and gloves if you wish to take part.

🍰 Homemade Cakes are Back 🍰

We are excited to announce homemade cakes are back on the menu in the café, enjoy a delicious fresh cream, blueberry and kiwi sponge, or one of our other delicious sweet treats.

Make the most of your visit and enjoy a walk around the farm and meet our friendly horses and ponies along the way.

All proceeds from the café go towards helping horses and ponies on the farm so your treat helps directly towards all our horses and ponies in our care.

Belwade Tack Sale - Saturday 13th June

We are hosting a tack sale on Saturday 13th June from 11:00am - 02:00pm. We have a selection of tack, rugs, equipment and saddles for sale, come along and pick up a bargain.

The café will be open for light lunches, coffee and cakes. Don’t forget all proceeds go towards helping horses and ponies in our care.
