Friends, family and furry companions gathered by the Linn o' Quoich in support and celebration of Tamsin & Richard on their wedding day.

Their oathing stone, carefully chosen from the banks of the River Dee, was passed through the hands of loved ones, charging it with their love and best wishes... before Tams and Rich set their vows into stone.

A quiet moment inside the Picnic Hut to sign the marriage schedule, was followed by confetti and surprise piping from James Cooper, who managed to stay hidden amongst the trees for the entire duration of the ceremony!

A perfect way to start their next chapter, surrounded by the peace and tranquility of nature and those that have loved them along the way.

For almost six centuries, the Gordon Clan held lands at Hallhead, its fortified tower house standing as a remarkable piece of history — rich in character and stories from generations gone by.

This summer, Peggy & Tim had the joy of adding a chapter of their own to that long history, celebrating their wedding in the grounds of the estate they now call home.

In the months leading up to the big day, they painstakingly renovated the old steading buildings, transforming them into an incredible space for their celebrations — a labour of love that made the day all the more personal.

Their ceremony was a true reflection of Peggy & Tim and the life they are building together, filled with the people, places, and traditions they hold dear.

There was music from renowned Scottish fiddler Paul Anderson, a few heartfelt 'thoughts from the riverbank', shared by Peggy’s cousin and fishing companion; and a bardic poem written especially for the day by a close friend.

Whisky from Ballindalloch Distillery, where Tim was the estate factor for many years, was raised in the quaich before guests were treated to a stomping good ceilidh in the barn.

A beautiful day, and a new chapter in the long story of Hallhead.

🌿 Georgia & Tom 🌿

It's not every couple who meet after one shoots the other in the backside at close range during a game of paintball... but that's exactly how Georgia & Tom's story began. Talk about making an impression - both literally and metaphorically!

What followed was an instant connection and a love built on shared laughter, time spent outdoors, a soft spot for animals, and countless painstaking hours of DIY as they transform their house into their forever home.

Their ceremony at the Quoich was a beautiful celebration of their love story and the promises that will shape their lives together. Their rings, clipped together on a karabiner, were passed through the hands of their family and friends before being exchanged during their vows. Heartfelt readings and words of well-wishing were shared by loved ones.

After saying "I do", they toasted their marriage with a white russian shared from the quaich before spending the afternoon exactly as they love to - picnicking by the river, soaking up the scenery, and enjoying a wild swim together.
