Behind every unforgettable firework display is a designer with a vision.

For the 2026 Abingdon International Fireworks Festival, we've brought together four of the most talented fireworks designers, each with their own unique style, creativity and approach to pyromusical design.

🔥 Ash Merrick – Firemonkey Pyro / Vivid Pyrotechnics
🔥 Jamie Davies – Twilight Fireworks
🔥 Karl Mitchell-Shead – Illusion Fireworks Display Team & Xplosive Events

Together they'll present five spectacular displays, each showcasing a different style of fireworks from around the world before an enormous 270° grand finale by Illusion Fireworks Display Team.

Our third display of the evening brings together two exciting names in fireworks to present a spectacular pyromusical packed with colour, energy and precision.

Since 2016, Fire Monkey Pyro has built a reputation for delivering high-impact displays. For the Abingdon International Fireworks Festival, they've partnered with VIVID Pyrotechnics Ltd to showcase some of the finest modern fireworks available from the Far East.

Expect stunning colours, breathtaking aerial choreography, powerful effects and an exhilarating soundtrack as this display demonstrates just how far Chinese firework manufacturing has evolved in recent years.

In a world where almost every firework is imported, Radford Pyrotechnics continues to keep the art of British firework manufacturing alive.

This very special showcase will feature fireworks designed and manufactured entirely in the United Kingdom, with every single item hand-crafted from scratch specifically for the Abingdon International Fireworks Festival.

Over a year in the making, this unique display will showcase rare effects, exceptional craftsmanship and some truly enormous calibre Golden Kamuro shells – among the most beautiful fireworks ever created.

A celebration of British pyrotechnic artistry that you simply won't see anywhere else.

DAYLIGHT FIREWORKS SPECTACULAR

Designed by Xplosive Events

Forget everything you think you know about fireworks...

Inspired by the vibrant daytime celebrations of Spain, our opening display will fill the sky with stunning coloured smoke effects, magnesium colour comets, crackling bursts and powerful noise effects.

The show builds to a dramatic finale of thunder shells that will shake the airfield and announce the start of an unforgettable evening of pyrotechnic entertainment.

This is fireworks in broad daylight – and it's every bit as spectacular as it sounds.
