Planning is great and all, and I’ve been doing plenty of it to ward of the ~eXiStEnTiAl dReAD~ but rather than leaping into 2021 with jazz hands, I’d say I’m closer to a suspicious shuffle than a confident leap. Anyone else?

Plans for the next 14 days. Family is now in tier 4, so no frosty walks and gift exchanges. Sending love to anyone who’s plans have been ruined, even if those plans were just socially distanced masked-up walks.

Hey there 👋⠀
⠀
So, a little social media detox turned into over a month away from these squares. I must say, it was lovely.⠀
⠀
I needed to get away for a bit, and to be honest I didn't have a great deal to say that wasn't being articulated more successfully elsewhere.⠀
⠀
That being said, I have missed using this space to champion other businesses, share a peek behind the curtain of my biz, and and shout about the exceptional work that is doing. ⠀
⠀
Onward, friends. Let's keep smiling where we can, and being gentle with each other (cc. )⠀

Sending so much love to all the couples affected by last night’s announcement that weddings can only be attended by 15 people for the foreseeable. We’ll all get there eventually - but for now the frustration and confusion is real. My DMs are open if anyone would like advice on how to plan your intimate ceremony, or postpone again. Sometimes a sounding board is the difference between a meltdown and a game plan. Photo by of James and I on our ‘un-wedding’ day back in May 👰🤵

Is anyone else feeling flummoxed and a bit deflated after today’s briefing? As a mega planner that likes to have things mapped out, all this uncertainty is playing havoc with my nervous system. Feeling very grateful for my online communities keeping me grounded ###xx

Peak remote working in lockdown was hit yesterday, as I took a zoom call from my car (parked at Thornhill park and ride) using the personal hotspot from my phone and eating a cucumber salad from Tupperware.

Here is a fun game: where is the weirdest place you have taken a zoom call from?!

The Amy Meadows Manifesto

I believe that humans are a bit bonkers, with different quirks and personality traits, and that events are a celebration of that.

I believe that empathy is the key to understanding and acting on each client's’ needs and desires

I believe that playfulness breeds creativity.

I believe that the guests, as well as the hosts, are at the heart of any event.
