Canolfan y Celfyddydau Aberystwyth, sydd wedi ennill sawl wobr, yw'r ganolfan fwyaf o'i math yng Nghymru ac fe'i hystyrir yn genedlaethol fel canolfan flaenllaw ac arloesol ym myd y celfyddydau. Mae ganddi raglen artistig eang, o safbwynt cynhyrchu a chyflwyno, ar draws holl ystod y celfyddydau gan gynnwys drama, dawns, cerddoriaeth, y celfyddydau gweledol, y celfyddydau cymhwysol, ffilm, cyfrynga

u newydd a chelfyddydau cymunedol ac fe'i cydnabyddir fel canolfan genedlaethol ar gyfer datblygu'r celfyddydau. Award winning Aberystwyth Arts Centre is Wales’ largest arts centre and recognised as a 'national flagship for the arts'. It has a wide-ranging artistic programme, both producing and presenting, across all art forms including drama, dance, music, visual arts, applied arts, film, new media, and community arts and is recognised as a national centre for arts development. Aberystwyth Arts Centre is a department of Aberystwyth University and a member of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS). We work closely with our fellow Institute colleagues who include the School of Art, Theatre, Film and Television Studies, English and Creative Writing, European Languages, Welsh and Celtic Studies and the Music Centre. Mae cerddoriaeth wlad wedi gweld adfywiad mawr mewn poblogrwydd yn ystod y blynyddoedd diwethaf, gydag enwau megis The Shires, Taylor Swift a Lady Antebellum yn dod â'u steil cyfoes eu hunain i'r genre. Mae'r artistiaid hyn, ynghyd â'r sioe deledu Americanaidd boblogaidd Nashville, wedi cyflwyno cerddoriaeth wlad i gynulleidfa ifanc, newydd enfawr.

Country music has seen a great resurgence in popularity in recent years, with the likes of The Shires, Taylor Swift and Lady Antebellum bringing their own contemporary style to the genre. These artists, together with the hit US TV show Nashville, has introduced country to a huge new, young audience.

A Country Night in Nashville recreates the scene of a buzzing H***yTonk in downtown Nashville, perfectly capturing the energy and atmosphere of an evening in the home of country music. Taking you on a journey through the history of country, and featuring songs from its biggest stars both past and present. Hits from Johnny Cash to Alan Jackson, Dolly to The Chicks, Willie Nelson to Kacey Musgraves, are showcased by the fabulous vocals and musicianship of Dominic Halpin& The Hurricanes.

With songs including Ring Of Fire, Crazy, Follow Your Arrow, It’s Five O’ Clock Somewhere, Need You Now, 9-5, and The Gambler to name just a few, this incredible celebration of country music is a night not to be missed.

And for the brave, bold, and plain straight crazy cats amongst you who want to be in on the action in the ‘Splash Zone’ book them quick and wear the damn ponchos!

We snuck backstage to ask some of the amazing cast how they were feeling with only a few shows left before our Summer Seasons closes its curtains.

It’s been very special to so many people, friendships have been forged…so until we all meet again…..!
