PRESS CLARIFICATION:

We at Destination Weddings Scotland would like to make a public apology for the statements printed in an article published by The Scotsman newspaper on Saturday 18th of January, associated with our Director, Emma Matthews, which have been portrayed incorrectly in this article about Trump International Scotland.

The negative tone of the article was not made clear before we agreed to give comment. We believe that the Trump International Scotland resort is of a world-class standard in our home region and offers an excellent wedding proposition for both intimate and larger weddings.

Sadly, Emma's comments have been twisted or reduced, in some cases to just a single word, in order to fit with the journalists intention to deliver a message putting the resort down. We requested that we be sent the article before print for our review and this was not done.

We have contacted the Paper and asked that our comments be removed with immediate effect.
