10 years on and back where it all began 💜

I don’t just conduct wedding ceremonies, I also have the absolute pleasure of conducting vow renewals, and Sarah & Colin’s was a particularly special one.

Living in Dubai, we had only met virtually while planning their ceremony, so it was lovely to finally meet them in person when they returned to Aberdeen. Even more special to celebrate 10 years of marriage at the very place they originally said “I do” Logie Country House.

A decade on, they reaffirmed their love for one another with beautiful, personal vows, a reminder that love grows, changes & deepens with every chapter.

Then came an extra-special moment as their children Ethan & Charley joined them for a sand blending ceremony, symbolising the four of them uniting as a family 🫶🏼

What a privilege to be part of their 10 year milestone 🥂

Here’s to Sarah & Colin, & the next chapter of their happily ever after 🥂

A sand ceremony is a lovely addition to a wedding & a beautiful way to have children involved 🤍

Each family member has their own sand which they take turns pouring into one shared vessel 🌈 colours are optional 😊

As the sands come together, they create something completely unique, be it the pattern of sand in the gorgeous family tree or the layering of colours 🥰

I absolutely love it when couples throw tradition out the window & create a day that’s unapologetically them. There really are no rules, if it feels right for you, let’s make it happen 🫶🏼

Safe to say, this gender reveal had everyone on the edge of their seats before erupting into cheers, laughter & more than a few happy tears.

Ria-Leix Wallace & Jack what a beautiful way to begin married life together celebrate the next exciting chapter of your story.

Baby Wallace, you are already loved beyond words & I know you’ll always be reminded that on the day Mum & Dad said “I do”, the people who love you most were there to celebrate you too 🩷

Before I head off to a wedding the morning checks are thorough. Double (and triple!) checking I’ve got everything we need 🫶🏼

Today, one thing’s for sure, it’s definitely a suncream kind of day! ☀️🧴

My trusty celebrant bag is always packed with the essentials ~ mints, tissues, Haribo, safety pins, needle & thread because you never know what the day might bring 😊

Being prepared for the little things helps everything run that bit more smoothly 💟
