Safe to say, this gender reveal had everyone on the edge of their seats before erupting into cheers, laughter & more than a few happy tears.

Before I head off to a wedding the morning checks are thorough. Double (and triple!) checking I’ve got everything we need 🫶🏼

Today, one thing’s for sure, it’s definitely a suncream kind of day! ☀️🧴

My trusty celebrant bag is always packed with the essentials ~ mints, tissues, Haribo, safety pins, needle & thread because you never know what the day might bring 😊

Kaitlin & Kyle’s wedding was a beautiful reflection of who they are ~ bold, joyful & unapologetically colourful 🩷🧡🩷 It’s the most colourful wedding I’ve had the privilege of conducting 🫶🏼

The greatest privilege of being a Humanist Celebrant is helping couples create ceremonies that are authentic, personal & unforgettable.

And yes… I got tattooed too 😊 It was all part of celebrating their story & embracing the fun, relaxed atmosphere they had dreamed of.

The original Marcliffe

What a cool piece of Aberdeen history to find whilst stripping out 2 Queen’s Terrace.

The building was previously home to the very first Marcliffe hotel when opened in 1947 by married couple Clifford & Margaret Jordan.

The Marcliffe ran very successfully at Queen’s Terrace until 1983 when it moved to Queen’s Road becoming the “New Marcliffe”, I celebrated my 30th birthday there 🎂😜 (now Malmaison), before moving in 1993 Pitfodels.

The start of 2026 has hit hard, Aberdeenshire & City faced heavy snowfall, flooding & relentless days of darkness, wind & rain.

Incredibly, 15 consecutive days without a single ray of sunshine has been recorded, the longest period since records began in 1957.

For many of us, this stretch of weather has passed with only minor bumps & disruptions. For others, it has been deeply challenging, in some cases, life-changing 😔

Severe weather doesn’t just impact us physically, it can take a real emotional toll, often affecting mood & wellbeing.

Spring will be upon us & sun will shine again ☀️already new shoots are popping through the ground 🌸🌼🥀

Until then, try to notice & hold onto the small glimmers of light around 🫶🏼
