We thought this deserved its own mention separate to the weekly round up!!

The Mandrake Events Team again providing traffic management and security to ensure the safety of those attending.

Friday marked the anniversary of D‑Day — a day when ordinary people showed extraordinary courage.

In Southsea, Portsmouth the D‑Day memorial stone stands quietly by the Seafront, opposite South Parade Pier—once a bustling embarkation point for Allied troops on 6 June 1944.

Each year, Portsmouth City Council and the Royal British Legion host a moving service around the memorial: wreath-laying, two minutes’ silence, visits from veterans and dignitaries—and now, as yesterday’s ceremony marked the 81st anniversary, a Royal British Legion parade and bugler performance gave respect to the fallen.

On this day, we pause at the stone, reflect on the sacrifice, and renew our commitment: lest we forget.

A welll done to the team.

Proud to support the Thai Festival at Baiter Park, Poole last weekend. Our on-site medics assisted with a medical emergency alongside Poole Coastguard and event staff.

Thanks to all involved for the teamwork and swift response — wishing the casualty a speedy recovery.

A massive thank you to everyone who supported and attended this year’s May Morning celebration in Oxford.

Held annually on 01 May, May Morning is a tradition that stretches back over 500 years. Once again, thousands gathered from the early hours — students, residents, and visitors alike — filling Magdalen Bridge, the High Street, and surrounding areas from around 5.30am.

At 06.00, the Magdalen College Choir sang the traditional Hymnus Eucharisticus from the top of the 144ft Magdalen Tower, followed by madrigals including Now Is the Month of Maying.

Just like last year, the crowd last were enormous and the count reached an incredible 17,000 people along the route.

The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive once again — a huge well done to all staff, supervisors, managers and contractors on the ground for your professionalism, calm control, and commitment.

Thank you all for making it another smooth and successful event.

Another parade well executed by the Mandrake Events team!

Palm Sunday marks the beginning of Holy Week in the Christian calendar, commemorating Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem, where crowds welcomed Him by waving palm branches and laying them in His path.

It’s a celebration of peace, hope, and reflection.

A huge well done to everyone who took part in the Wi******er 10K today!

We were proud to provide seamless traffic management for the event, ensuring smooth and safe running for participants, spectators, and road users alike.

It’s always a pleasure to support fantastic local events like this, and we’re delighted everything went off without a hitch.

A big shoutout to the organisers, volunteers, and, of course, all the amazing runners who took on the challenge!
