What we love most at Dig For Victory is finding out what kind of dress makes you feel special. For some people this will be a full length ivory gown in a drapey satin crepe - liquid soft and elegant. For some people this will be colourful embroidered flowers and lace - joyful and celebratory. And for some people this might be a jewel coloured, tea length silk frock with full petticoats for added swish - or a gothic celestial inspired gown in gold or black.

If you are able to come and visit us at our shop/studio in Brighton then we will be guided by you as to what feels joyful and authentic for you to wear on your wedding day. You can try out all the different styles if you are undecided and we won’t bring any preconceived ideas of what “is” and “isn’t” bridal enough.

For those of you who would be looking to order online, please email or DM us with your thoughts and inspirations. We have a wide range of designs listed on our website but we can also mix and match all the different elements of the designs if you like the neckline or sleeve style from one but the length or fabric/lace from another. Let your imagination be your guide!

All dresses are handmade from start to finish by our small team of seamstress right here in Brighton, UK.

We just love Alice’s bridal look! She chose to have our classic Monroe dress made with the addition of these fabulous butterfly sleeves! We just love how much body they have in the heavy duchess satin and we think she looks absolutely stunning with our ivory silk bridal bow veil and red lips! Perfection ❤️

We love helping our brides mix and match the different elements of our designs to create their perfect bridal look and because we hand make everything in store at our Brighton studio anything is possible!

We think Kirsten looks absolutely dreamy in her custom made Coco gown and yellow and peach Dahlia lace top. We love how she has created two very different looks from one dress with the lace top and belt, and these photos are so beautiful and romantic!

I wanted to thank you for my beautiful wedding dress, and I also wanted to thank you for the time and care you took at my appointments for the initial fittings to the final adjustments, it felt truly special."

We love these photos of stunning bride Diane in her made to measure Dig For Victory dress. She chose the Monroe Wedding Gown in warm ivory duchess satin and had the neckline customised to give a slightly more open V. She also had a full length veil with corded lace trim and we think she looks incredible.

We love tweaking our designs to give our brides exactly the look that makes them feel comfortable and special at the same time.

We know that every wedding is different, and what feels right for one bride or one mother-of-the-bride or one wedding guest might be different from another.

For this full skirted tea length dress we have overlaid our peach primrose lace over a rust red cotton twill for a juicy pink and red contrast. We've used a flattering low back scoop neckline for the bodice and delicate lace only bell sleeves. The dress can be ordered with a generous red silk bow sash and worn with or without a petticoat

And it's up to you if you wear it as a non-traditional wedding dress, a glamorous mother-of-the-bride dress or a fabulous wedding guest dress!

I had so many complements on the dress and bolero, it was the perfect combination of classic with a modern twist for me. The fabric was so soft and lightweight and I felt as though I was floating all day. "

We think Libby looks magical in her bespoke wedding outfit. We made her a version of our Coco wedding gown in a ballerina length with a double circle of super soft tulle added to the skirt to create a dreamy ethereal effect. She then paired it with our boxy lace top in art deco sequin lace and a silk bow veil for a totally unique bridal look. We love it when brides go bespoke with us!

'I want to say a big thank you for basically making my dream wedding dress. I could not have hoped for a more beautiful, authentic, and personal dress. Having been able to choose the designs, and having it made to my measurements, has made it feel so much more personal. I felt beautiful on the day, and received countless compliments. Every detail of the dress reflected the incredible skills and care that was put into it, and I was incredibly proud to wear it! Thank you so much for the beautiful piece you have made!

I am also thankful for the help and care I received during my fittings, when choosing my design and later when making adjustments to the dress. From beginning to end I felt I was in very good hands!'
