When the currant owner, artist Candida Romero purchased the location it was in ruins. She has spent 11 years to restore the place and it is now available for public or private events. Many cultural events takes place at the convent. It is a way of again sharing the magic of this place with the people of the island and also to ensure that further restoration can take place.
