Pawel Kobak, a DJ-producer and multi-instrumentalist who happens to be a renowned flautist, has been busy in the studio together with prolific singer Ernesto & The Basement Gospel. They have been creating different versions of a strong tune simply named Surrender, combining soulful vocals, old school bass-lines, funky guitars, celestial keyboards and many more delicate sounds. There is no escape, let’s surrender to this fine single out on Beatscope.

Ernesto & The Basement Gospel (previously Ernesto) made a name for himself in soulful house, nujazz and broken beat in the early 00s. Since then he’s released 4 full length albums, and worked with well respected producers such as: Atjazz, Jimpster, Jori Hulkkonen, Swell Session, Hyenah, Seiji, Dirtytwo and dozens more, and has recently garnered support from Black Coffee, Themba, and Diplo to name a few.

Pawel Kobak is a DJ, producer and flute player based in Sweden. He produces deep, soulful and techy house music, as well as neoclassical acoustic ambient music and soul jazz.
Pawel has been releasing house music since 1995 on labels such as Defected Records, i! Rec, Wrong Steps, Romb, Oh!, Metamorphic, When Disco Goes Wrong, Deeplay, Tricircle, Lace and many more. He is also the founder of twice Grammy nominated (in Sweden) house label Route33.
Pawel has also released several acoustic ambient albums and EPs with Henrik Meierkord under the band name Marhia, and an instrumental flute soul jazz album called simply “Flute” at Archivator Records
