To further present Spikes, Damna new EP, we are happy to dig deeper into the artist profile and meaning behind the composition :

As an artist, Damna set himself in an exploration of the contemporary borders of Bass Music, with Dubstep being his starting point. Through the sonic textures and structures which make genres as porous as they make them strict, he tries to position his act of composition in a constant renewal of its possibilities through pattern repetitions and sound design deviations.

Damna - Spikes EP : June 26th [DLJL011]

“Spikes” is Damna ’s most leftfield release yet. Dubstep and Bass Music defined the artistic approach in which all the tracks have been thought of, but the specific dynamics shaping the EP came from the dig into a continuous structure for each individual tracks, keeping the pace, where the weirder elements aren’t the standouts of the tracks, but a support for the atmosphere and the steadiness that was emerging. This process led to 4 tracks, supported by two remixes from enereph and soa42o__
