Ok… I don’t usually share here the gigs I play for brands or more private events, but this one had such a special meaning to me that I felt like sharing it.
You know when something happens and, for a few seconds, you just stop and think: “How did I get here?”
That’s exactly how I felt a few days ago when I played for the first time in Saint-Tropez, at an event in Galerie Saint Martin Officiel , in partnership with Brazilian artist Romero BRITTO and Vibra
If you grew up in Brazil, especially going to school as a child, it’s almost impossible you haven’t heard of him hehe. I remember that many of my art assignments when I was little were based on his drawings, which I would spend hours coloring.
And it made me think about how crazy life can be.
Because that 4-year-old Carla, sitting there coloring a little dog painting, could never have imagined that years later she would be in another country, playing at an event alongside an artist who was part of her childhood.
If someone had told me this years ago, I probably wouldn’t have believed them.
That little girl who grew up in Samambaia, on the outskirts of Brasília, could never have imagined that music would take her to places she could only dream of.
And maybe that’s what touched me the most: realizing that, even without knowing exactly where I was going, every choice, every challenge, and every step along the way had brought me here.
It just makes me feel like I’m on the right path. That things are happening in their own time, and that there are still so many beautiful things waiting to come.
All of this thanks to music… and to you who are on the other side, following my journey, cheering for me, and being part of it in your own way. ❤️
Life is such a crazy thing, isn’t it? hehe
Sometimes I stop and think about everything that has happened, and I can’t wait to see where it will take me next. ✨
