After following her work for so long, we heard just a few months ago that .planet was in town, and we couldn’t miss the opportunity to make a film exploring her inner world, and how it relentlessly shapes the world around her.
Dornika was in Paris for a studio residency at , which culminated in Dornika & Friends, her own curated evening presented on May 29th as part of the Magic Barbès Festival. Surrounded by , , and , the event embodied the political and artistic community she continues to build around her practice. We followed her throughout those precious days: from rehearsals, to an appearence at , untiour editorial shoot at the infamous .
Since then, Dornika’s momentum has only become more undeniable. While attending .festival as a guest - finally taking a moment for herself - she was asked just four hours before a last-minute cancellation to step in and perform. Armed only with her honesty, she turned an unexpected slot into a memorable show, proving that her music doesn’t rely only on spectacle, but also on the universality of her songwriting, the intimacy of her lyrics, and a stage presence capable of connecting with anyone, anywhere.
