The Great Iberian Power Outage 2025 … Somewhere between Cordoba and Madrid a 2.5 hour train ride turned into 28 hours of adventure. Don’t think I’d wanna go on this adventure again, but happy I did … and more happy nobody on the train got hurt, sick and for the most part everyone kept their cool even on a very hot train. Just strangers helping strangers … even when those strangers don’t speak the same language. Beautiful thing really.
* yes the train ran out of water about 30 minutes into it, but a local kid appeared out of nowhere to show us a fresh stream where we can fill our bottles.
