One thing we’ll never get over is a simple stripe paired with bright, citrusy color blocking. Midcentury design elements married coastal flora + fauna inspired by the nearby Calanques to create a pool space inspired by E&B’s love of abstract art, woven + rattan textures and the prettiest natural corners of the region.

With open-flame grilling, le grand aïoli, and five flavors of homemade gelato on the menu (lookin’ at you Honey Lavender), guests were treated to a poolside menu that felt fresh, summery and inviting.

Deep chill lounge music from DJ Joevell set the ambiance, while crisp cocktails including a Basil & Cucumber Gin Cooler from Monsieur Cocktail were free-flowin. Overall, guests enjoyed a breezy afternoon beneath the provençal sun that we’ll be dreaming about for quite some time ☀️

One of Chateau des Alpilles hidden treasures is a centuries-old Orangerie behind the main house. Translation: no finer spot for a dance party until 3am 🕺🏻

We’re always looking for ways to turn existing spaces on their heads, so a dance hall sans ceiling, hundreds of meters of crunchy taffeta, red mood lighting mixed with strategically placed fog machines and a neon sign to back the DJ felt like the perfect pop-up in a place you’d least expect it.

Cheeky ci******es, a giant tiramisu, embroidered hotel slippers were just a few of the other surprises that awaited guests post-dinner in the plane tree allée. We won’t soon forget the electro swing music vibes as Gatsby Follies led the dance party reveal, nor will we stop praising Estelle & Bertie for their excellent song selects to kick off the evening - Lady (Hear me Tonight), Music Sounds Better with You and Be My Lover to name a few!

The ceremony in the front courtyard featured wistful live music from The Freebirds, with a set list ranging from David Gray and Jose Gonzalez to Elvis Presley classics like Can’t Help Falling In Love.

Cocktail Hour around the side of the chateau offered refreshing sips from Monsieur Cocktail, passed apps and regional charcuterie + cheeses from Helen Traiteur and a couple other surprises like pastis and pétanque.

From cheeky ci******es + custom matchbooks featuring hand-marbled paper from Kim Padula to faux pear es**rt cards on a vintage walnut shelf, every detail of Estelle & Bertie’s wedding day was rooted in their personal lives and shared history. The paper goods from Dominique Alba overall brought happy tears to our eyes withe very passing glance!

Dinner in the plane tree allée was backdropped by balcony sets from The Gatsby Follies, a texture-forward tablescape with Histoires Sauvages at the helm and speeches to tug on every heartstring.

Having spent 2 years getting to know E&B, we took such great joy in learning all the little things that make them tick, and the result was an incredibly warm atmosphere in this beautiful corner of Provence’s Alpilles region, which has become so special to the couple + their families as well.
