I got to play 10 songs into my scheduled set list before the song requests started pouring in. It felt like a blink of an eye that 12 hours had past and it was time for me to play the last two "last call" songs.

I just counted 169 songs requested and played with only 4 songs I didn't have or couldn't find.

I'm proud to be able to take song requests as a DJ, and I'll do my best to never turn any song away.

Fantastic Gay Pride Sunday at Rockbar NYC. I had planned to play from a pool of 26 hours of popular and gay anthem songs, but at the last minute I put this puppy bowl out to take requests.

I didn't expect more than 30 requests all day but ended up with more than 100. I'll post the exact count and set list later.

Even though the day turned out to be a massively eclectic playlist, I know everyone at Rockbar yesterday had a great time.

I welcomed every song request and I didn't turn any away, not even Celine Dion's "My Heart Will Go On" which I thought was going to flop, but turned out to be one of the best massive group sing along songs of the day.

Thanks to everyone who came to Rockbar NYC yesterday for making my 13 hour DJ set an amazing experience!

As Pride month quickly comes to an end, many of us are worried about what outfit to wear during Pride and if we'll be happy and feel sexy with the way we look. Will those shoes work with our outfit? None of us are worried about what it would be like if we didn't have feet to wear those perfect shoes, that is, no one of us except DJ Bahe.

DJ is facing bilateral amputation and he's going to lose both of his rear paws. His first operation is just a few days away on June 27th. Over the next 12 months he will learn how to walk again with new prosthetics.

On a daily basis many of us, myself included, struggle with trying to pay the rent, scraping together a few pennies for our next meal, worry that we don't have the money to get our car repaired, and stress about finding a new job.

DJ is facing 12 months being out of work during his rehabilitation. That's 12 months of compounded financial and emotional stress the Like of which most of us will never experience.

DJ needs more than virtual hugs and prayers.

He heeds your spare pennies, money from your piggy bank, or even a few dollars to help support him over the next year. Any amount will help him more than just financially.

Knowing he had the support from the community will help him with the emotional support that he'll also need to get through this.
