Tonight, I lift my heart to each of you. ❤️

Hoping that wherever you are in this world,
that love finds its way to you.

I may never know your name or your story,
but please know that I am thinking of you.

Each and every one of you.

May love reach you wherever you are,
and may you feel, even for a moment,
that somewhere in this world, someone is thinking of you.

I love you. ❤️

IT TAKES MORE THAN FIRE TO FLY 🎈

At 5:00 AM, nobody knows yet if they’re going to fly.

But everyone is already there.

Pilots. Crews. Friends.

Helping one another before sunrise.

That was one of the first things that struck me about ballooning:

it feels like a family.

Then comes the weather briefing.

A red test balloon rises into the morning sky.

Everyone watches.

The wind will help answer the question they’re all waiting for:

Are we flying today?

When the answer is yes, the field comes alive.

The basket comes out.
The balloon stretches across the grass.
Cold air gives it shape.

Then comes the fire.

And something lying silently on the earth begins to rise.

Behind this flight is Todd Monahan.

As a kid, Todd chased balloons on his bicycle during the Adirondack Balloon Festival.

He never really stopped chasing them.

In 2007, he founded SunKiss Ballooning.

More than 3,000 flights later, what impressed me most wasn’t the number.

It was the passion.

He still loves it.

And never far away is Jacobi — his dog and best friend — following him through the adventure. ❤️

Maybe finding something you love gives you more than a passion.

Sometimes, it gives you your people.

And maybe the things we chase when we’re young deserve our attention.

Because sometimes…

the thing you once chased from the ground becomes the life that carries you into the sky.

Todd once chased balloons.

Today, he flies them.

Next time, we chase one back to Earth.

Today, someone told me he didn’t have time for anything.

I could see how tired he was from trying to keep up with everything.

Later, I found myself here.

The river was rushing.
The sun was moving through the trees.
And for a moment, I didn’t have to go anywhere.

It reminded me that sometimes we don’t need more time.
We just need a moment that asks nothing from us.

So if life has been moving a little too fast lately, stay here with me.

You don’t have to fix anything.
You don’t have to figure everything out.

Just breathe.
Watch the water.
Feel the light.

Let the river rush for a while.
You don’t have to.

And when you’re ready, keep going. ❤️

🌍✨ WHEN ART BECOMES A MIRROR

I hesitated before sharing this moment.

It felt personal — one of those conversations that seems to belong only to the people who were there.

But watching it again, I realized that sometimes a personal moment becomes universal when someone else recognizes a part of themselves in it.

LO is speaking French in this video.

We were standing in front of one of his paintings: a man seen from behind, alone on a sailboat, between the sea and the sky.

I asked him who the man was.

He told me:

“It’s me looking somewhere else.
I am elsewhere, and I am here at the same time.
The sea, the sails, the clouds… freedom.”

And suddenly, I wasn’t simply looking at a painting anymore.

I could almost hear the sea.
The wind moving through the sails.

I began to travel inside it.

That is something beautiful about art.

An artist can place part of themselves into a work — their memories, emotions, dreams.

But somehow, we can find part of ourselves there too.

Then I asked LO:

“Is this man happy?”

He stopped and thought.

And eventually he said something that stayed with me:

“Happiness… in my opinion… is fleeting.”

Maybe he’s right.

Sometimes happiness doesn’t arrive as something enormous.

Sometimes it is a painting.
A conversation.
The sea.
The wind.

A few seconds when everything inside us becomes still.

Maybe art doesn’t always give us answers.

Sometimes it simply gives us a place to feel, to dream…

and to recognize ourselves.

I wasn’t even supposed to be photographing hot air balloons.

And somehow, at the most unexpected moment, I was inside one.

We lifted into the sky, skimmed over trees and fields, and for a moment, I didn’t know what to say.

I just felt it.

My soul was overflowing with joy.

It’s strange how some of the most beautiful moments in life are the ones we could never have planned.

You think you know where the day is going… and then life surprises you.

Maybe that’s why I love the unexpected so much.

It reminds me that there is still so much ahead of us that we haven’t seen, felt, or imagined yet.

Life is incredible.

And maybe one of the most beautiful parts of the unexpected is the people it brings into our lives.

Jean-François, thank you for sharing this incredible adventure with me.

And Todd — none of this would have happened without you. Thank you for opening a door I never expected to walk through… and for everything that came after.

To Todd, Jean-François, and everyone at ADK Balloon Flights by SunKiss Ballooning — some encounters stay with you long after you land. 🎈

Somewhere, morning is beginning.

Light touches the side of a mountain. A city wakes beneath a sky you’ve never seen. Somewhere, music drifts through an open window, a family gathers around a table, and two people laugh at something that might have made you laugh too.

The world is filled with lives we may never witness, places we may never stand, and languages we may never speak.

And yet sometimes, distance disappears.

A photograph can open a window.
A film can carry us somewhere we’ve never been.
A story can make someone far away feel close.

This is where United Earth begins.

I travel with a camera and questions, searching not for perfect places, but for real moments—the people, cultures, landscapes and encounters that remind us how extraordinary this world is.

Sometimes it is a mountain catching the first light.

Sometimes it is a door opening.

A conversation.
A welcome.
A stranger becoming someone you will remember.

The more of the world I encounter, the more deeply I believe that we are one human family.

Not because we are the same.

We are not—and that is part of the beauty.

Our languages, traditions, beliefs, memories and stories are part of what makes humanity extraordinary. We do not have to erase our differences to belong to one another.

Sometimes we simply need to look a little closer.
Listen a little longer.
Let someone else’s world enter our own.

None of us will see everything this Earth has to offer.

But perhaps, for a little while, we can travel together.

And if United Earth can bring one person, one place, or one story a little closer to you—if it can spark wonder, curiosity, connection, or simply make you smile—then this journey already means something.

And if one day you want to open a window into your own world, there is room for your story here too.

Bringing humanity closer, one story at a time.

Different lives. Different stories. One human family. One United Earth. 🌍♥️

I went looking for hot air balloons.

I found people.

At first, every door seemed closed.

I knocked again.

And somehow, one opened wider than I ever imagined.

On the other side were extraordinary people who welcomed me into their world.

They gave me their time.
Their trust.
Their friendship.

And once again, I realized:

We spend so much of life chasing the next thing.

A project.
A dream.
A destination.

But sometimes, the dream is only the doorway.

The people we meet are what make the journey matter. ❤️

🎡✨ The night I almost missed.

Saturday morning,
I went looking for the sky.

The sky gave me nothing.

No balloons.
No photographs.
No reason to stay.

I could have left.

Instead, I went back.

One stranger.
One conversation.
One hello that changed everything.

That evening, the balloons stayed on the ground.

Again, I almost left.

Then one word rose inside me:

Stay.

So I stayed.

And the night exploded into life.

Lights spinning.
Thousands singing.
Beach balls flying.
Confetti becoming the sky.

Then The Offspring took the stage.

I looked around and thought:

None of this was supposed to happen.

I went searching for a balloon.

Instead, I found a moment
I will carry for the rest of my life.

Remember this:

When the plan ends,
don’t leave too quickly.

Life may only be beginning.

60 seconds—so you can live a little of it with me.

🌍✨ THE CHILD WITHIN THE ARTIST

I walked into a gallery
and met LO — Laurent Torregrossa.

He was painting sailboats.

For LO, they are more than paintings.
He has spent his life connected to water —
as a swimmer, a sailor, and an artist.

He knows every detail of a sailboat
and paints them with extraordinary precision.

But sailboats mean something to me too.

As a child, when life felt like a storm,
I dreamed of sailing far away —
toward calmer waters.

Maybe that’s why I noticed something in LO
before I even understood it.

The child in his eyes.

Still curious.
Still dreaming.
Still completely in love with what he does.

And I recognized him.

Because somewhere inside me,
the boy who dreamed of that sailboat
is still there too.

Maybe growing up isn’t about
leaving that child behind.

Maybe it’s about finally taking him
where he always dreamed of going.

Before I left, I told LO something from my heart:

Because I love art… I love you.

Sometimes…

you just have to look up.

And suddenly…

the child inside you
is standing at the window again.

No words.
No questions.

Just eyes wide open…

wondering how the world
can be this beautiful.

Maybe that child
never really left.

Do you still see the world
through their eyes sometimes?
