Congratulations to Maisie and Ben. We hope you thoroughly enjoyed your wedding weekend, inspite of the intense heat once again ?! The ceremony was beautiful, thanks to the celebrant Mark, and the accompanying music from Charlie and Jodie.
Whilst the meal was in progress, there was just time to ensure the safety of the cows before placing the fireworks for the night-time display. A marvellous day, so Sunday was a day for total relaxation.....

The weeks roll by so quickly and soon summer will be replaced by autumn. Infact, it has been so hot in France that the countryside already has a distinctly autumnal hue. The ground is parched and brown, trees have dropped their leaves and the bracken is turning prematurely for want of rain. But at Chateau du Doux the summer is long and joyful thanks to our
guests, and the colours were nothing short of vibrant for Jade and Sam's wedding.....
Very many congratulations to the happy couple, we wish you a wealth of wonderful times ahead!

The weather kept us guessing right up to the eleventh hour, but in the end the rain held off and the weekend was a tremendous success. Such a relief, as the bride and groom and their guests had travelled from America and beyond to celebrate their wedding weekend with us in France. Very many congratulations Mariana and Damien, it was such a pleasure to host you both, your family and guests.

It certainly was touch and go as to whether your guests would make it with the problems with french air traffic control! Ultimately, luck prevailed. That is what we wish for you both throughout your future lives together with many more exceptionally happy occasions.
It was also, really lovely to have that wee bit of time with your family before the celebration began in earnest.
