Í desember 2021 andaðist stigtakarin og stovnarin av felagnum og FO Tatt Fest, Fjølnir Geir Bragason, betri kendur sum Fjølnir Tattoo. Ársins tatt fest verður av tí sama sera merkt av at hesin megnar maður ikki er í millum okkum longur. Fjølnir tók stig til FO Tatt Fest saman við Palla Sch Thorsteinsson í 2011. Tatt Fest fylti 10 ár í fjørð, men vegna corona, ber fyrst til at hátiðarhalda hetta í ár. Ársins Tatt Fest verður sostatt ein sorgarblíð fagnaðarveitsla. Vit ynskja at hátíðarhalda Fjølnir og alt tað, sum hann var fyri tattoo heimin, samt at hátíðarhalda 10 ár av Tatt Fest í Føroyum. Vit gleða okkum at bjóða Føroya fólki vælkomin til eitt spennandi vikuskiftið í Norðurlandahúsinum 20.-22. Mai, har listin er í miðdepli og fjølbroytni blómar.

The Faroe Islands’ Tatt Fest is the first and only tattoo convention in The Faroe Islands and is distinctive due to the festival resembling atmosphere. Twenty-three tattoo artists are attending this year, and they are among the most talented on a global scale. They are also diverse in their nationality and culture. Additionally, we offer an exciting program on this weekend. the program includes a benefit concert, visual art exhibition, lectures on the history of tattoos, awards for best tattoos in cooperation with Cheyenne Tattoo. In December 2021, the initiator and founder of FO Tatt Fest, Fjølnir Geir Bragason (also known as Fjølnir Tattoo), passed away. Therefore, this year’s Tatt Fest will be marked by the absence of this great man, who along with Palli Sch Thorsteinsson founded FO Tatt Fest back in 2011. This year also marks the ten-year anniversary of the convention. It is thus a bittersweet celebration. We wish to honor Fjølnir, and all that he meant for the tattoo world, and continue his work by commemorating ten years of tattoo conventions in the Faroe Islands. We look forward to welcome everyone to an exciting weekend in the Nordic House on the 20th-22nd of May, where the art is in focus and diversity flourishes.
