Team FIXER.FO are happy to share that BBC has now released both the teaser and the full Faroe Islands episode of The Hebridean Baker, Nordic Islands, broadcast on BBC ALBA and available in Gaelic.
FIXER.FO was directly involved in the planning, coordination and on-location delivery of the Faroe Islands episode.
FIXER.FO, I had the pleasure of acting as local production partner and fixer, working closely with Caledonia TV. Our work covered everything from early local research and story support to location scouting, access, logistics and production ex*****on on the Faroe Islands.
The programme beautifully combines Nordic food culture, dramatic landscapes and strong local stories and it’s always rewarding to see the Faroe Islands presented in such an authentic and cinematic way.

On Friday, May 16th at 21:00, “Martin Clunes: Islands of the Atlantic” will air on ITV 1 – and this special episode features the Faroe Islands and Greenland!

What a wrap – and what a day!

Today marked the final shoot for the BBC series Island Bites, and what better place to finish than the stunning village of Bøur. The sun was shining, spirits were high, and The Hebridean Baker, Coinneach MacLeod, stood smiling in the golden Faroese light.

A huge thanks to Caledonia TV for choosing the Faroe Islands – and for teaming up with FIXER.FO. From sea urchins to tunnels, sheep farms, it’s been an incredible journey meeting amazing locals along the way.

We can’t wait to see it all come together on screen. It’s going to be delicious!

Martin Clunes sets off on an incredible journey across the Atlantic’s most breathtaking islands in a new ITV series.

From the jungles of São Tomé and Príncipe to the icy landscapes of Greenland, he explores unique cultures, rare wildlife, and hidden traditions.

Along the way, he encounters giant snails, ancient rituals, volcanic cooking, and even dives into freezing waters in the Faroe Islands.
