Well what do you know! I've been wondering how suddenly few of my mixtapes in soundcloud started to get much more listens and likes from all around the world... It appears that during the short time those mixes have been online, they have been liked and listened to so many times that they have at some point reached the soundcloud's list of TOP #30 "Melodic Hitech" tracks and are now holding the positions #14 and #16 there!

Have a look for yourself! https://soundcloud.com/tags/melodic%20hitech

Huge thanks to everyone who have been enjoying them and supporting me during these years! 🙏 Really appreciate it! All in all, this makes me feel like I've been on the right track and that there is a big amount of people out there who are really enjoying what I'm doing!

Next up: Kosmos Festival 2019, where I've been given the honor to play on Friday night already at 23:30-01:00 at the almighty Levitation Stage! Hoping to see many of you there, and for those who are not able to make it, I'm happy to tell that a mixtape of that gig will be pushed to soundcloud some time soon after the festival! 😊

Thanks again and see you all soon in one way or another! Let's keep on blasting!

Good news, everyone! This very Friday night between 18:00 and 20:00 Finnish time you all have a chance to join me on a wonderfully fresh and uplifting hi-tech trance science adventure, wherever you may physically reside! This is made possible by the not that recent technological advances in high-speed mobile internet connections and audio streaming technology! What a time to be alive!

So, how do I jump in, you might ask? Browse to https://soar.fm and use the online player there, OR setup your media player software to listen the stream directly from http://soar.fm:8080/stream. We'll start the stream well in advance, letting people to settle in before the blastoff that happens exactly at 18:00.

Soar.FM is a wonderful Finnish internet radio, focusing solely on live-streamed music. No playlists, no pre-recorded DJ sets, no advertisements, no bu****it.

Last weekend was one of many round numbers, all coincidentally piling up on the same day, Saturday.

To list some of it, my Soundcloud page reached 3000 total listens, the latest hitech mixtape there went over 500 listens...and last but not least:

This page that I started 1 week less than 1 year ago from now reached 100 likes. 100 sounds a bit little considering how long I've been doing this stuff, so allow me to explain why I think it's worth mentioning and celebrating.

First things first though, I'd like to take this moment to express my gratitude to all of you for being here, it means a lot to me! Thank you! 💖

Then to the explanation for those wanting to read it: When creating this page, I set up some rules for myself about how to manage it.

Most important of the rules was that I decided against spamming my vast variety of facebook friends to like this page via inviting everyone I know here, trying to push them to like something that they might not agree on or even know about.

Instead, I wanted to try allow people to discover this page by themselves organically and only like it if they genuinely want to do that. That way I'd know that people who have liked it are here at their own will and are getting spammed with these posts either because they really interested in getting them, liking what I do, or at the least wanting to support me in doing it.

There are a few exceptions to the rule though. One is that I allowed myself to share it into events that I play at so people who were listening knew about it, one that I could try to "trade likes" via sending an invite back when someone invites me to like their pages, and one that I could send an invite if someone has expressed their liking of my thing sometime, if happening to remember that afterwards.

I feel that these decisions have paid off. It feels much more rewarding now to have such a crowd here already, so thanks again for your support and wish you a great start of the new year! Until next time!

The time has come for a new year, new tricks, and of course, new adventures!

My first gig of the year is happening this Saturday in a rather new, already legendary UG location in Helsinki, which is unfortunately also nearing the end of its run. This might be your last chance to attend a party organized there so better make it count!

I'll be spinning all new music that was mostly gathered during a planned 3-month gig break that I nearly managed to keep completely gig-free. Some opportunities were too good to pass and some offers too good to decline, so I did play a few exceptional gigs.

The photograph here is from one of them. I don't always play in commercial corporate hi-tech events, but when I do, I do it anonymously in incognito mode. 😎 Interesting case for sure!

This year there is likely going to be less gigs from me than the previous due to increased focus in other areas of life. This should be a good thing overall as it ensures that things stay fresh and the excitement about gigging stays high, which guarantees that the motivation to make each time a special one is there.

I have high standards for my performances, thus it always takes its toll in time and energy to prepare for them. Wouldn't want it to be any other way around though.

I'll most definitely still be around and interested to hear about opportunities to share some music that I love.

Let me know if you need an invitation for the Saturday's event and I'll hook you up.

Happy new year! 🥳

Happy winter solstice everyone! What a great time to spend a moment embracing the darkness before the days start to grow in length again in the northern hemisphere! Spotted this amazing track just for that purpose. ;)

Us situated in the Southern Finland got to enjoy a luxurious 5 full hours and 49 minutes of "sunlight" today. It's basically all summer from this point on.

Thanks for this amazing year, wishing you peaceful and relaxed holidays.

Here is a mixture of something oldschool and fresh for kickstarting your weekend in a very traditional Goa style and to hopefully bring some light and warmth into the winter that is creeping in on us at the northern hemisphere!

This was definitely one of the most important gigs of my life so far. It's not important due to reasons like how "big" the event or the crowd was, but because of the amazing spirit of this event series and the special meaning that the place where it is organized annually has for me.

If you are interested to hear more details about this story, read the rest of it via clicking the link. :)

Have a shining weekend everyone! ☀️

As winter was finally starting to show its hold in Finland, it provided an excellent excuse to spend a good moment drinking something nice and warm while cherishing some memories of the past summer.

Earlier this year I was presented with an opportunity to participate in the making of a documentary short film about a subject that I've found very interesting since very young age. Of course many of you know that I have multiple such interests, but this time I'm talking about synthesizers, the electronic musical instruments that are used these days to produce probably the majority of world's music in a form or another.

Needless to say I was super excited about this thing and instantly jumped aboard and dragged some friends along with me in the process!

The film has so far pretty much been played only in some movie festivals around Finland, so good news everyone, it was finally made available for public viewing today!

The 12-minute documentary focuses around the subject of analog synthesizers in specific. You know, the ones that use actual electronic components and currents to shape the sounds instead of using digital samples and algorithms or other impure modern wizardry.

The setup of the film is a traditional synthesizer meetup, which is something similar to a hobbyist car meetup/rally where the hobbyist go to meet their kind to have some enthusiastic talks and have fun with their gear. A really great bunch of people showed up and I feel grateful for having the chance to spend the day with them. Made some good new friends in the process too!

As there is only so much one can fit in 12 minutes of film, lots of great material and good stories had to be cut behind in the making of it. I hope to see a director's cut some time in the future that involves all the interviews and sound samples.

Long story not that short, I wish you a pleasant viewing experience with this documentary! Interested to hear your thoughts and synthesizer related stories below in the comments. :)

Hello, World! I've been a busy bee for the past couple of months, not having much time to focus on music. I can't of course completely escape it, no matter how much other things there are to do, not that I would even want to.

Things have been bubbling under the surface. One thing that I've been involved with during this year is establishing a new internet radio station called Soar.FM. (http://soar.fm/)

Tonight at 22-00 Finnish time I'll be joining forces with some of the other actives of the project in order to talk about it in the infamous "Back 2 Mad" show of a real local radio station called Bassoradio. You can expect at least DJs Äimä, Akubara and Monkey Business, along with the amazing Back 2 Mad hosts to be there with me!

If you don't own a radio or just live outside of the transmission range, you can listen to the broadcast here: https://player.basso.fi/ or through the Basso smartphone app.

Link to Back 2 Mad's facebook event in the comments, you're welcome to join us there to drop comments. Hoping to hear from you during our time at the megahertz frequencies!
