The official launch of the GEWE Platform brought together leaders, institutions, and partners committed to advancing Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment across the African Union and the continent.

Hosted by the Embassies of the Republic of Burundi and the Republic of South Africa to the African Union, in collaboration with the UN Women Liaison Office to the African Union and the Economic Commission for Africa, this platform launch created space for dialogue, collaboration, and collective action toward a more inclusive future.

Some projects stay with you long after they're done. This is one of them.

We worked with Kuncho Trading PLC to create a one of a kind experience to mark Ethiopian Airlines 80 years of connecting Africa to the world.

We were honored to be trusted with something far beyond an ordinary brief, designing and delivering the space that now holds eight decades of one of the greatest aviation stories ever told.

Walking into the Ethiopian Airlines 80th Anniversary Museum at Skylight Hotel, you don't just see history. You feel it. From the archival photographs of the very first flights, to the uniforms worn by the people who built this airline from the ground up, to the timeline that stretches across the walls — from 1946 all the way to today — every element was placed with care, with intention, and with deep respect for what Ethiopian Airlines represents. Not just for Ethiopia, but for Africa.

The space had to take 80 years of milestones, of firsts, of people, of aircraft, of pride, and make it something a visitor could walk through and truly feel. Every display case, every lit column, every carefully considered corner of that room was shaped by a vision of what this legacy deserves.

From the first Ethiopian commercial airline captain, to the Jet Age and the Boeing era, to the modern fleet now serving over 160 destinations across five continents, the museum traces a journey that is as much Ethiopia's story as it is an aviation story. We made sure the space honored both.

To be part of a milestone this significant, to put our hands on an experience that will be visited, photographed, and remembered, is the kind of work that reminds us why we do what we do.

Last week, our Founder & CEO, Yoadan Tilahun Tilahun, took the stage at IMEX Frankfurt for the highly anticipated panel.

It was a powerful opportunity to shift the global narrative regarding our continent as a host destination.

For too long, conversations about hosting events in Africa have centered on what we lack. It is time to center the discussion on what has already been built: world-class venues, exceptional talent, genuine hospitality, and an unwavering will to lead.

As Yoadan shared during the session: in isn’t just a destination choice, it is a recognition that the world is finally catching up to where already is.

Behind every project, there is a person who showed up.

Guenet was a prominent humanitarian who served with great distinction for UNHCR, holding leadership roles including Regional Representative in Washington, D.C., and Representative to Pakistan. During her tenure in Pakistan, her critical work supporting Afghan refugees and host communities earned her the prestigious Sitara-e-Imtiaz award from the Government of Pakistan and official recognition of her lifelong dedication by UN Secretary General Antonio Gutierrez.

A humanitarian of vision, compassion, and peace, she lived the Rotary motto "Service Above Self" by mentoring youth, empowering the underserved, and spearheading national projects in health, education, and peace, and generously supporting the Rotary Foundation. Following her passing, the humanitarian and the Rotary Club of Addis Ababa West members, along with Rotarians in Ethiopia, launched to establish the Afewerk Tekle Space at the Selamawi Rotary Peace Center in Addis Ababa to honor her vision for a peaceful community nationwide. She will forever be in our hearts.
