I have been working in the bridal industry for over 10 years and during that time have worked with every type of wedding dress imaginable, from slinky bias cut silk dresses to corseted bodices and full, multi layered skirts. I began my career working at Halfpenny London making bespoke dresses and then went on to work as a freelance seamstress. In more recent years I have worked extensively for Mis
s Kay Seamstress based in Tunbridge Wells, providing alterations on hundreds of wedding dresses and creating made to measure gowns. Alongside being a bridal seamstress I have also spent the past 6 years working as a freelance costume maker. As it has always been a passion of mine, I chose to study Costume Production at university and graduated with a 1st Class BA(Hons) which provided an excellent basis for my costume career. I have worked on a range of film, theatre and TV productions including the West End musical 42nd Street, the 2017 Disney film Beauty and the Beast and more recently His Dark Materials (BBC TV Series)
I have been lucky to work on a vast range of projects and am always interested in a new challenge. I pride myself on providing an exceptional finish on any work I complete, whether it is a small tweak to make a dress fit ‘just right’ or a complex, detailed costume that will appear in HD on the big screen.
