When you write a bespoke ceremony from meeting a couple and the answers from a carefully put together questionnaire, I’m always nervous waiting for the initial response for the couple. Have I presented their love story the way they wanted? What did I miss?…. Then you get the message…. And I feel elated and more connected to them as a couple knowing I know them a little bit more.

Thank you to every couple who trusts me to be part of such an important chapter in their lives. ❤️

There are moments in this job that never lose their magic.

Standing beside a couple as they make promises to one another, looking out at the faces of their family and friends, and witnessing the love, laughter, happy tears, and smiles shared by everyone in that moment is something truly special.

As a celebrant, I have the privilege of telling love stories and helping create ceremonies that reflect the unique journey of each couple. But what fills my heart every single time is seeing the connection between people—the proud parents, the emotional grandparents, the lifelong friends, and of course, the couple at the centre of it all.

I normally meet the couples online almost two years prior to officiating their ceremony. During that time I really get to know them and who are those special people to them. On the big day, it becomes a reunion and full of familiarity where bonds are quickly made. This video was so much fun as & groomsmen (Johnny, Ned & Mark) and Rob’s dad, Geoffrey were up for a laugh. .after.eventz
