Its my 🎂. What a year it has been!

Some little achievements:

🎤: I started singing again (and it feels great)! Soon even thinking to do an open mic with !
👩‍🍳: I started improving my baking skills (never had the patience but its a growing process)! Today I made empanadas, banana cake and peanut butter brownies!
🇪🇸: started becoming more fluent in this language thanks to my wonderful family in law, work and my teacher!

After 11 months living in Barcelona I was ready to go back home (The Netherlands). Booked my flight, was looking for jobs and just finished my last exam. But that got a big twist…. when I went with my friend to a restaurant. A very (handsome) guy walked in. Carefully I made a little move to smile at him lucky me, he smiled back!🙈

Encouraged by my friend, I decided to write down my number on a napkin and gave it to him. Surprisingly, he texted me that evening, unaware that he was my NEIGHBOR 😂. It turned out we shared the same view from our windows!

To add to the coincidence, he was quite familiar with the Dutch culture as he works for a Dutch company and he is visiting the Netherlands regularly.

So we went on a date and now, two years later, we are still together!🧡

☀️WHY THE NAME VOWS OF JOY?☀️

My second name is Joy, and when you get married you make a vow to each other. The same I do to you, my vow is to make the planning process as smooth as possible with a lot of joy! In addition, the name Joy suits me really well as I love to laugh! 🤩

Once upon a time, I decided to go to Barcelona to study. I moved with my two friends to Barcelona. One year of exploring the culture, making new friends, getting new insights and enjoying a bit of the Spanish lifestyle.

Although I had a great year in Barcelona I knew I was not going to stay. But plans changed and I did stay. I stayed because….

DID YOU KNOW I HAVE BEEN A WITNESS OVER 15 TIMES? But how come? When I started planning weddings I arranged a lot of Elopements!

A small wedding celebration sometimes with only the two of you! Of course you will need two witnesses this was automatically me! ✍️. I even was a witness for a couple where the bride was also called “Reeve”.
