The truth about destination wedding dresses in Spain 🇪🇸

~Designed for a royal palace… worn under the Andalusian sun at 35ºC 🥵
~Looks like a dream… until the sevillanas and reggaeton start and you realize the dress was not tested for perreo;))
~Costs as much as a small car … but hey, it comes with invisible air-conditioning (spoiler: it doesn’t).
~Flown in all the way from abroad ✈️ … only to end up dragging through Spanish olive groves 🌿

But in the end… when the photos come back, it’s always worth every drop of sweat and every euro. Because nothing beats looking like a queen on your day 🤍

Wedding Day Traditions: What Are the Rules?🤍

As a wedding planner, I often get questions like: Who puts the ring on first? Which side does the groom walk on and which side the bride? On which side do guests sit during the ceremony?

Of course, you and your guests can do whatever you like — it’s your wedding and your rules.
I can only share what is traditionally done and what usually happens at most weddings:

•Who puts the ring on first: Traditionally, the groom places the bride’s ring first, followed by the bride placing the groom’s ring.

•Which side the bride and groom walk on: The bride usually walks on the left side, the groom on the right.

•Guest seating: Guests of the bride typically sit on the left, and guests of the groom on the right (as you face the ceremony), although nowadays many couples opt for mixed seating.

•Who is responsible for the rings: Usually, the best man or a ring bearer carries them.

•Who adjusts the bride’s dress and veil: This is often done by the maid of honor or one of the bridesmaids (or a wedding planner).

Remember — traditions are a guide, not a rulebook. The most important thing is that the day feels true to you.

A special post!❤️

First of all, I want to say how much I appreciate all my colleagues — I’m truly grateful to everyone I’ve had the pleasure of working with!

But today, there’s one person I want to highlight in particular.
Usually, I thank her in private messages, depending on the situation…
But I truly believe the world should know its heroes!

So, I’d like to publicly express my deepest gratitude to a wonderful celebrant and an incredibly kind-hearted person.
Debbie, your constant willingness to help never ceases to amaze me.

The way you dive into every issue — even when there’s nothing in it for you — and do your best to find a solution is simply inspiring.

What made me write this post is the realization that you have never once said “no” to helping someone.
Even if you personally can’t assist, you always know someone who knows someone who can.

You’re selfless, generous, and simply incredible — and I’m sure many colleagues would wholeheartedly agree with every word I’ve written here.

It’s not your birthday today, but I believe words like these should be said more often — because kindness deserves recognition, and good things always come back around.

Thank you for everything you do!
Here’s to many more weddings together — and not only weddings!

PS If Nokia used to connect people, now it’s Debbie.
(If you know, you know 😉)

Why Are Blue Vintage Glasses So Popular at Weddings in Andalusia?

📝First, blue is deeply tied to Andalusian identity. It’s the color of the Mediterranean Sea and the bright southern sky, ever-present in daily life. It’s also used in the region’s famous ceramics and Moorish-inspired tilework, making it a natural and meaningful choice for wedding decor.

📝Second, blue symbolizes calm, peace, and protection — a beautiful wish to carry into marriage. It also ties into the wedding tradition of “something blue” for good luck.

Finally, the retro or vintage style brings a touch of old-world charm that fits perfectly with Andalusia’s historic haciendas, fincas, and rustic-chic venues.

🤍So when couples choose blue glassware, it’s more than just a trend — it’s a nod to the soul of Andalusia and a timeless aesthetic that feels both rooted and romantic.

🎯 Top Wedding Tricky Moments I Always Try to Prevent (Planner Tips!)

Being a wedding planner means not just making things pretty — but also preventing chaos before it starts. Here are some real-life wedding “oops” moments I’ve learned to handle ahead of time 👇

1. 🎤 The Open Mic Situation

Guests asking to give a toast? Wonderful!
But… sometimes a little too wonderful.

That’s why I always request a pre-approved list of speakers and make sure I or the MC manages the mic.
Because yes — I’ve had a drunk guest hand the mic to a 4-year-old…
The entire wedding listened to growling and random toddler sounds while I chased down the mic like it was the last rose on The Bachelor.

Moral of the story: If you’re heavily intoxicated, give your toast privately — not through a sound system 😅

2. 💬 One Family Feels Left Out

Sometimes one side of the family is more outgoing than the other.
The quieter side may feel like guests instead of hosts, too shy to ask questions or take part.

So I always make a point to check in personally with both sides — especially the quieter one.
I ask if they need anything, if something isn’t clear, and remind them: this is your day too.
This small gesture changes everything. Believe me.

3. 🎥 Friends ≠ Vendors (Please 🙏)

I explain this clearly to all my couples:
Friends and relatives should not be your main vendors if they’re also guests.

Here’s why:
• They can’t enjoy the day OR work properly.
• I can’t treat them as full vendors or hold them accountable.
• Boundaries get blurry… and stress multiplies for everyone.

Let your friends enjoy your wedding. Let the pros do their job. It’s better for all sides — and your photos, your cake, and your music!

Want more real tips (with real stories)? Follow along — I’ve seen it all, and I’m still smiling 😊
