In typical Phat Phil Cooper style, I’ve just gone and mapped out my post-season escape route with little more than a vague plan and a lot of curiosity.

The summer so far has been hectic, so this trip is my get the 'f' out of dodge and chill the s**t out of it!!! I will be legging it end of October!

First stop is Istanbul for 7 days to soak up the chaos and calm of that incredible city.

Then on to Oman for 7 to 10 days, wandering deserts, mountains, and markets.

Next is Thailand for 2 weeks — leaving this one deliberately loose to see what unfolds.

Finally, Bali for 6 weeks, exploring the quieter north of the island, hopping to some of the neighbouring islands, and letting the camera roll while I wander.

I’ll be taking my USBs too, so if the stars align you might just find me popping up on sunset duties somewhere along the way.

I’ll share updates as I go. And if you’ve got any recommendations, hidden gems, or must-dos on this route, send them my way — always keen to follow a good tip.

August in Ibiza…
The month where things usually hit peak sweat, stamina gets tested, and the energy can feel a bit frayed at the edges. But this year? It’s been gentler. The heat’s backed off (a bit), the breeze is playing nice — and that small shift makes all the difference.

The Island keeps giving, and I’m thankful for the work coming my way — and for being able to play the music I believe in, with no compromise. That means a lot.

It’s late nights, long hours, and plenty of time spent out in the heat… but this is the life I chose, and it’s where I feel at home.

Thank you to everyone who books me, asks about the music and is genuinely interested in this mixed bag of sounds we label as Balearic.
