Marcia Bravo Celebrant

Marcia Bravo Celebrant Black, passionate and eclectic Malaga wedding celebrant. I help couples achieve their weddings aspi Why not!!

Marcia Bravo is a Black, Afro Caribbean celebrant originally from Leeds, West Yorkshire, UK, located in Málaga capital writing and officiating bespoke destination wedding ceremonies for couples in the UK and Spain. Marcia´s specialisms are in alternative ceremonies, bilingual, multicultural, multiracial, elopements, LGBTQ+ and micro weddings. Her skill is in the unique way she weaves her couples

love story and journey to marriage into a vibrant mix of alternative ceremonies that include symbolic rituals like the hand-fasting ritual. This is what makes her popular with busy couples working within sectors like law, charitable sectors, sales, medical practioner´s, marketing, Interior design, fashion design, life coaches and many others couples who regard themselves as creatives or offering services to people that make them feel good about themselves. These are couples who are seeking an alternative fun and vibrant wedding, who love life. Marcia´s vibrant, passionate, creative and eclectic style is addictive and it´s easy to see why couples are attracted to her wedding offer. Her vibrance, but equally natural ora of warmth, is what couples are seeking and this is well reflected in her personality, heritage and vault of life experience and skills listening to the stories of individuals she supported for more than 20 years. Marcia is a very humble person but on hearing her speak about her past career, it becomes evident that she is very proud of her efforts over the years in respect of helping others. If someone had told me that in the future, I would learn to speak Spanish, I would probably have thought maybe!! I´ve always considered Spanish as a very romantic language and loved the vibrant culture…

But if they´d said Marcia there´s more you´re going to become a celebrant and write and officiate bespoke destination wedding ceremonies in the UK and Spain; I don´t think, I would have believed them…but it´s really been one of the best things I´ve ever done…

Hi I´m Marcia, Fondly known as “M “or “MB”, Celebrant originally from Leeds, UK, now located in Málaga capital. Just like the dreams of couples with whom I love to work with, your dream of a wedding and my dream to become a celebrant began from an idea on paper. For me it was the idea or revelation that I could continue to use my vault of experience of listening, supporting and motivating individuals, applying this to couples looking for an alternative wedding ceremony. With my creative side from my love of abstract painting and ceramics and a real passion for working with people; I took the plunge and trained to become a celebrant. This seed became a dream and with training and really looking within myself to find the qualities that I already possessed to be an amazing celebrant; my dream has now become a reality. What I love the most; I still have to keep pinching myself to see if I´m dreaming or awake; is that as a Celebrant I get to create and officiate bespoke wedding ceremonies for couples and I get to create memories that last a lifetime too. My style is vibrant and eclectic; it´s in the bright clothes I wear, my crazy hair!! my passion for bringing your wedding story alive makes me thrive… If you want colour then that´s exactly what you´ll get. If you want a ceremony that´s full of life, includes symbolic Hand-fasting, Sand ceremony, Jumping the broom or other cultural rituals and more then that´s me…

If this style resonates with you and you can imagine your wedding ceremony with colour or colourful metaphors; Get in touch to see where we can go…and how I can take your dreams from paper to reality; creating memories that a lifetime…

Hi M, Checking in.

Welcome to this Friday.

Celebrating a wedding in Spain as an international couple is much simpler than you think. Couples from the US, Australia, the UK, and other countries regularly and successfully celebrate their weddings in Spain.

Contracting a marriage legally in Spain is complex. For this reason, most couples do their legals where they are usually resident. With the legalities out of the way, couples feel relaxed and ready to celebrate their wedding in Spain.

Contracting a celebrant or other suppliers might sound daunting, but wedding directories and Google Maps help streamline the process. It´s essentially the same as shopping online, which many of us initially doubted but have now become accustomed to.

Choosing a celebrant from a different country is much the same process. And what´s great is that, unlike shopping online, you get to try before you buy. Most celebrants offer a non-obligatory discovery call aimed at getting to know you.

Hi, M checking in.

Welcome to this Tuesday.

We´re almost midway into June, but as I jump into another new and exciting week, I made myself stop to take a breath before moving on to the final preparations for my next ceremony and next scripts to write.

One of the ways I love to do this is to reflect on a wedding I have officiated and take time to really take in the feedback, which often, in the fullness of the day-to-day, whilst I hear the words, it´s later when they land.

And the one that jumped out today has now landed, resulting in a huge early morning smile spreading across my face.

Thanks so much to my previous couples and my 2025´s, and to my booked 2026 & 2027´s couples, who have already invested in me and me in you and to those of you whom I have yet to hear from, I´d love to work with you too!

Are you planning a wedding, elopement, baby naming or other type of ceremony in Southern Spain in 2026 or 2027? I´d love to hear your story.

Let me help you take your celebrant ceremony dreams from paper to reality, creating memories that last a lifetime.

DM me today, so I can start planning your ceremony, one which truly reflects you.

I can´t wait to meet you.

Hi, M checking in.

Welcome to this Tuesday,

I can´t believe we are already moving into June. This year seems to be going even faster than the last… Despite this, it´s another week full of promise. As I work through my to-do list of things that need to be ready for the next ceremony and others to move my business forward, you guessed it, face down looking into my vault to see which memories are inside that help me to stay focused and motivated.

I pulled this one out and haven´t stopped smiling! It´s one of the things I love the most about my journey with my couples.

Thanks so much to my previous couples and my 2025´s, and to my booked 2026 & 2027´s couples, who have already invested in me and me in you and to those of you whom I have yet to hear from, I´d love to work with you too!

Hi, M checking in.

Welcome to this Monday.

New week, new month, of all things M, from managing my celebrant business to supporting students on their way to becoming celebrants.

As I tackle my week with renewed energy, it´s the beginning of a new month, and I look forward to what´s to come.

Reflecting on how “M” came about and what my style is, a quote by Ella Fitzgerald made me smile, as it sums up everything!

Super excited to meet new couples this week who are looking to celebrate their love in Spain and Gibraltar in 2026 and 2027.

New week, Some knowns, New unknowns, New opportunities, New achievements, New chapters and New challenges. All welcome!

What quote, reading or song is resonating with you today!

Hi M checking in.

Welcome to this Friday's mix-up!

Wishing another of my lovely couples, C & E, a Happy 1st Wedding Anniversary.

C & E travelled from the UK to the UK, Gibraltar, juxtaposed next to Spain, to celebrate their love at restaurant Bistro Point. With stunning sea views all around, the setting was beautiful and very surreal, with great weather, and I´m sure from what you can see in the photo, there was lots of fun and great vibes.

With so much love for Gibraltar, it was the perfect place to celebrate their love!!

Thanks, C and E, for trusting me to be your celebrant; it was a pleasure and so much fun getting to know you and being part of your special day!

Hi, M checking in.

Welcome to this Tuesday,

New week full of writing scripts, preparing for the next ceremonies and doing all things running a celebrant business, including my least favourite, the accounts!

I get so much inspiration and motivation looking back at the lovely reviews and comments from my couples and those in attendance, and so as usual I dipped into my vault. This review from a recent elopement in Seville was bursting to get out.

Huge smile!

Thanks so much to my previous couples and my 2025´s, and to my booked 2026 & 2027´s couples, who have already invested in me and me in you and to those of you whom I have yet to hear from, I´d love to work with you too!

Hi, M checking in.

Welcome to this Monday.

As I step into my new week being all things managing my own celebrant business and a wedding mentor , firstly I can´t believe we are already nearing the end of May! I really don´t know where this year is going, but I guess I say that all the time, especially after 25!

So as I get ready to officiate my next bespoke ceremonies, which are all different, unique and special, I´m feeling the happiness and joy from being back in officiating mode and remembering that feeling I get when I have just officiated a ceremony! Feeling totally at ease with myself, my style, my presence and happy that I´m a little bit different! Life would be pretty dull if we were all exactly the same.

As always, I like to take motivation or reflect as I am working, and one of my favourites! I shouldn´t really need to tell you by now who it is, resonated with me.

Super excited to meet new couples this week who are looking to celebrate their love in Spain and Gibraltar in 2026 and 2027.

New week, Some knowns, New unknowns, New opportunities, New achievements, New chapters and New challenges. All welcome!

Eloping in a public space in Spain

Eloping in a public space in Spain can be exciting, fun and equally emotional as in a larger wedding ceremony. The difference is the intimacy that this option offers you, with the focus being on the two of you.

It´s a cost-effective choice compared to a traditional wedding. Spain is a relatively affordable destination for an elopement compared to other European countries. Depending on your budget and preferences, you could even turn your experience of eloping in Spain into a mini-vacation, exploring the sights and sounds of Spain while celebrating your love for each other.

Eloping in public is a great experience, with some planning considerations to make it a success and often a bit of patience on the day too, selecting the perfect spot.

While Spain's public spaces can be incredibly beautiful and romantic, they can also be quite busy and noisy, especially during peak tourist season. It's important to choose a location that offers a good balance of privacy and accessibility, and to plan your ceremony at a time when the space is likely to be less crowded.

For more information on eloping in a public space, take a look at my blog with the same title.

Hi M checking in.

Welcome again to this Tuesday!

Wishing another of my lovely couples, C & E, a Happy 1st Wedding Anniversary. The weather was welcoming, with bright skies, and there was such a great vibe from C & E.

Hi, M checking in.

Welcome to this Tuesday,

Moving into another week of all things being a celebrant in Spain, and as I move towards the next ceremony, a bilingual ceremony in English and Spanish, I´ve dipped into my vault for some extra inspiration and to capture some of the love that´s in there, and found this one at the top. I´m smiling as usual, but it´s true, it´s a little sad when my immediate journey with my couple comes to an end …

Thanks so much to my previous couples and my 2025´s, and to my booked 2026 & 2027´s couples, who have already invested in me and me in you and to those of you whom I have yet to hear from, I´d love to work with you too!
