I feel loved. 55 yesterday and just going from strength to strength. I’m surrounded by a small and authentic bunch of friends and a spectacular woman who love me no holds barred … It makes me believe in the power of love and the collective.
For me I couldn’t wish for anything more. I am complete.
I walk into this year feeling like nothing is impossible so Thank you to all those who show up for me time and time again in my life….wether you are in front of me or on the other side of the world, I feel you ,you know who you are. Mucho amor dear you friends and I love you Chanel DeBerge O'Shaughnessy Carter-Allen ,infinitely more everyday ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Happy release day to me ❤️

It’s almost a little bit bitter-sweet putting this track out in the public eye. It’s been one of my personal Vibe-setting tracks for more than a year now. It’s got funk,it’s got ‘summer’ written all over it, it’s got female energy and for me it’s been the perfect floor filler for many moons.
And I’m most happy to be sharing the release with .lanauze on the remix.

I was knocked completely sideways recently by the passing of our dear friend Philippoo.
I wasn’t near my studio at the time but you can put pen to paper wherever you are… so I started writing…

It began as a tribute to him but became something more, a reminder of the essence of the scene which he definitely embodied.

It’s called “The air we used to breathe”.

A dear dear friend , soul brother, kindred spirit and all round light in the darkness has left the building. I cannot begin to put into words this feeling but I am supported by the fact that “I know” that there is no such thing as true death and that our little 3D adventure represents a fraction of a second on our eternal journey of transformation together.

Ironically that doesn’t make me/us feel any better, left here alone in the settling dust of your abrupt departure.

Zen Buddhism talks about the continuous body…a body that is shaped out of one’s thoughts ,actions and deeds. that one doesn’t fade away but instead continues to represent you here and now ,seeding future generations with your beautiful gifts …
Your continuous body is still here!….its a small consolation.

Not only one of the kindest most genuine, nurturing and loving people on the planet but a musical philanthropist who over an extensive career has guided the scene , mentored so many of us, raised musical giants and ,in the last few years, gracefully bowed out to forge new paths in life instead of pursuing a system which didn’t serve your needs anymore….showing others the way once again.

Dear friend you leave us all crying but I know that in time we will heal and you will still be here with us.

To me ,Luxury could be something like this. A Dark room, a piano and a drum kit, a few people ,eyes closed deeply into two musicians who are just jamming out!
In a world of bigger, brighter,shinier, and somehow more simple ,moments like this give music back its complexity and freedom….
Nobody watching , everyone listening. Everything connected.
Luxury!

I was very happy to play recently. It was an opportunity to try out some new musical angles.
I ended up trying out a new experimental set at the first venue .
A live fusion starting with my stuff which ended with some deeper spectrum dance productions…
So I’m really grateful to Day Zero for helping me to crystallize an idea I’ve been thinking about for years and never finding the motivation to start! A new Anthony Middleton Live project.

The Global family is here. There’s a whole lot of strange vibes and obstacles out there right now but we somehow all made it here to Bali to share a positive moment together.
Looking forward to and ever so happy to spend some meaningful hang time together before the music starts …
